Muscogee County School District is proud to celebrate School Communicators Day! Today, we recognize the invaluable contributions of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain connectivity between families, staff, and communities with their respective schools. School communicators play a critical role in disseminating news, advertising events, and spotlighting both student and staff accomplishments. Despite often operating out of the spotlight, their contributions wield significant impact. Let's take a moment to appreciate and thank all the school communicators for their hard work and dedication to our schools and communities. #SchoolCommunicatorsDay #Education #CommunityImpact

Communicate Well, and Create Partnerships, Not Partisanships This is an article I wrote 20 years ago. For those on school boards, parents, taxpayers, business-owners, students, administrators: These are the building blocks for trust, community and effective school systems. The key points are: Document Everything Make Consistent Decisions Keep Everyone in the Loop Communicate Proactively Stay Positive and Friendly, and Issue-and-solution-oriented Adopt a "No Surprises" Philosophy This is the link to the original article in the Houston Business Journal. https://lnkd.in/gdqThnWP (This article also won an IABC Bronze Quill in Writing) #communication #schools #community #partnerships

It's one of the first videos we produced, but Peabody Public Schools is readying a big rollout in the new school year of our anti-bullying video. Josh Vadala, Ed.D. had a clear plan for this communication: reduce concerns of young parents, get their concerns to the right places, and reinforce the core values they've been building into their student community. This communication also has a clear return on investment: reducing time and resources in the wrong places while getting parent communications to the right places. Even better if we're alleviating concerns before that happens! Peabody also has this video ready to go in Spanish and Portuguese... what is your district doing to prepare students and young families for the new school year? #schoolpr #communications #publiceducation #antibullying #upstanders
