The absence of inclusivity is a significant factor contributing to disputes within an organization and within a community. When individuals or groups feel excluded, it can generate negative emotions that ultimately harm the peace of both the institution and the community. It is crucial to ensure that everyone is given an opportunity to voice their opinions and perspectives. Do you agree? #PeaceAdvocate #Womeninpeace

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH REPORTS RAPID & INFORMATIVE - anna@whib.co.uk | Pre & Post Report Support | Consulting Clinician
The debate continues about access to safe spaces for all women. Yes - I am very clearly saying all women - trans and non-trans. As all women require this. Can you imagine having to endure this kind of hate, and vileness? This is what trans people have to deal with. This is common and will inform their fear of having violence and aggression not just on social media but in the real world. As a non trans woman I do not have to face this level of aggression and hate on a daily basis. Particularly disruptive to having debate are those who do not call others by the gender pronoun they have chosen. This is an insult, a huge triggering insult for people who are trans. That then means it becomes harder for a sensible debate, listening, sharing of issues to occur. It is basic respect which if not present will result in a ferocious defensive, aggressive, protection reaction. #trans #safety #safespaces
I recorded the episode with Katie Neeves FRSA last month, and she bravely shared her recent experiences with targeted hate campaigns following the implementation of the new Hate Crime Act in Scotland. Katie, who has been publicly out as trans for six years, described the intensified vitriol she faced, exacerbated by prominent voices spreading misinformation. Prominent figures, including JK Rowling, have spread harmful narratives that conflate the actions of a few individuals with the entire trans community. As Katie emphasised, the vast majority of trans individuals contribute positively to society. It's vital for us to foster understanding and support within our communities. Listen to her powerful story and join us in promoting empathy and solidarity. https://lnkd.in/e_ZZ-bZ6 🏳️⚧️ #TransRights #DiversityAndInclusion #SupportTransPeople

Inclusion plays a fundamental role in democracy. For peace, development and stablity, all forms of discrimination must be avoided. That’s why Salt House Community engages with local communities to explore ideas and strategies for unity, peace and togetherness. We understand inclusion, and daily, we show communities how it works for them. #inclusion #peace #inclusivedevelopment

⭐ Word of the Month: Stereotyping ⭐ This month, we’re tackling stereotyping—a practice that can limit our understanding and connection with others. Stereotypes oversimplify who people are, preventing us from truly seeing and appreciating their unique qualities. We can work together to look beyond these assumptions and create a community where everyone feels seen and valued. Ready to learn more? Explore the resources at https://lnkd.in/eCaY3SAi

"I know I’m more than someone’s bad opinion." This powerful statement anchors our latest discussion after International Non-Binary People’s Day. We delve into navigating transphobia and invalidation with resilience, advocating for empathy and understanding. By reflecting on our biases, challenging misconceptions, and supporting non-binary joy, we affirm the intrinsic worth of every individual beyond mere opinions. With all due respect, we aren't qualified to authoritatively opine on every single topic. Not even if we read up on an issue, because the way the world is set-up, only a particular perspective is likely to be represented in written text. It's wise to steer clear of issues involving marginalised communities that you are not a part of because you don't have access to their lived experience. But even if you somehow have access to said communities and their lived experience, you would still do well not to center yourself but to rather amplify their voices, with their express permission. #justice #socialjustice #intersectingoppresisions #intersectionality #selfreflexivity #awareness #situationalawareness #agency #saviourhood

Today, we stand in solidarity with our trans siblings, honouring the lives that have been lost due to transphobic violence. But it’s important to move beyond awareness and push for action. Let’s put in the work and use our voices to create a kinder and more inclusive world where everyone can feel safe to be their authentic selves. Whether it’s amplifying trans voices, supporting trans-owned businesses, having conversations with your friends and family, or acknowledging and respecting correct pronouns, every action counts.
