🚨 UPCOMING EXHIBITION 🚨 We’re incredibly excited to announce The Art of Subversion. This first-of-its-kind exhibition will feature a provocative blend of street art, tattoo-inspired art, and functional glass art. The term ‘subversion’ is defined as “the undermining of the power and authority of an established system or institution.” With that, the goal is to initiate a broader conversation about how artwork is understood in our contemporary world. For decades, street art was seen as no more than vandalism, and only recently has it gained recognition for its cultural value. Similarly, while the traditional medium of tattoo art has been around for centuries, it has only been in the last few years that our society has shaken the stigma associated with the art form. The same cannot exactly be said for functional glass art, more simply known as ‘sm💨king 🅿️ipes’… I mean, I can’t even type the words normally here without getting this post flagged!! As with tattoos, the art of 🅿️ipe making and the medium of glass blowing has a profound history, yet it is an outsider in the art world. Artificial Rome #INTERPLAY is a generative installation in the heart of the Humboldt Museum in Berlin. Artificial Rome is the mastermind behind INTERPLAY in Berlin, and is celebrated for our groundbreaking approach to art. Through this daring artistic endeavours, INTERPLAY delves into the exploration of human perception, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Artificial Rome and Humboldt Museum, envisions a revolutionary transformation of the museum experience. We created a generative installation within the atrium of the Humboldt Forum in Berlin. The seventeen-metre-tall artwork, displayed on a towering screen sculpture spans across three floors of the museum. The permanent installation is visible from every angle inside the atrium. The frames change so that they appear differently at any given time. This means that visitors can experience an ever-changing simulation of the elements every time they pass through the atrium. Of course this art is crazy. What art is not crazy? When it's not crazy it's not art. Jean Dubuffet Obviously by 1945 the world was also crazy and there were many who questioned the processes and genealogies of creators authenticated as artists.  If we listen to Dubuffet, as to anyone else who has arguments to define concepts based on experiences and observations, we arrive at one of the possible questions, we can all be creators of art: Social art, urban art in the street or in galleries?  Where to find it? Although perhaps the question is where we can experience the sensation/reflection/experience that art awakens in us.
