Pondering on whether to accept that job offer? 🤷♀️ Here are some key things to keep in mind 🗝️ By the time you receive the offer you should already be clear in your mind on whether you are happy to accept (subject to terms) ⬇️ 📌 If the end of the process is nearing and you don’t feel that you have all of the info you need, ask for it! Ask your recruiter or contact in the business, or if needed ask for a quick chat / coffee with the Hiring Manager ☕ 📌Keep checking in with yourself as you progress through the process - does it align with your values and career goals? 🥅 📌Don’t lose sight of your reasons for leaving your current role and firm - a few extra $$$'s are great, but if you're leaving due to other drivers, make sure the next role will satisfy them 🎯 📌Discuss with people you trust as you go along - your partner, your recruiter, mentor, people in your network By doing all of these things you will feel in control throughout and in a strong position to accept (or not!) when the offer (hopefully!) comes! ✅ I'd love to hear what else you do to keep yourself in check when interviewing - feel free to share or get in touch! 📨 JM Consulting

I think the biggest mistake people can make in an interview is being too honest. Crazy right?! The thing I have seen a lot from interviewing. Is admitting "I don't know something" and leaving it at that. Killing the interview and your chances of obtaining the job. But, chances are that you do know! Many job seekers have experienced a scenario in a job that can properly answer the question given to them in an interview. Try this: Practice answering questions with how YOU would solve for something that "you don't know." Give them an example that you were a part of, use the STAR method to assist you. Tell them direct impact, what you learned from the example, what you would have done to optimize the result. Good hiring team is looking for candidates who can be coachable especially in lower level positions. Take ownership of the example to answer the question! Sometimes, being close to the example is as good experience as being the executor of the example. Smart people learn from their own mistakes, but wise people learn from the mistakes of others as well! This kind of approach could be terrible advice or, it might get you a job. Happy hunting Job seekers

Do you have an interview coming up? Skills-based interview prep below ⬇️ Skills-based questions focus on your skills rather than education, qualifications, and experience. They help employers decide how well you’d fit the role and its responsibilities. They’re increasingly common, with the focus often shifting away from ‘traditional’ qualifications or academic background that many employers once prioritised. Keywords to keep in mind ⬇️ communication creativity data analysis digital skills flexibility interpersonal skills leadership problem-solving organisation teamwork Some skills-based questions to get you thinking... How do you juggle competing deadlines? How do you make decisions? Give an example of how you overcame a challenge in the workplace. Tell me about a time when you guided people towards a compromise. How have you managed a team member who is underperforming? And do not forget... 💫The STAR method 💫 STAR is a way of structuring your answers to skills-based interview questions. It stands for: S — Situation: Describe a problem that you needed to solve. T — Task: Detail the task at hand to resolve the situation. A — Action: Explain what you brought to the task and the actions you took. R — Results: Give the positive results of your actions. Goodluck! 💫💫💫💫💫 Hiring or looking for work? Now a days I am looking for job, what I am experiencing. .... like walkin interviews were far better than online interviews, atleast you will get to know your results and also get your feedback that where to improve, but online I am experiencing horrible experiences. picking up phone for feedback for HR is like they are super busy. ....🤣🤣 Seriously. .... when the HR will not come up with results or feedback, job seekers start searching another opportunity. .... then what happen job they usually grab 2-3 offer letters. then job seeker join only one company at a time ..... then efforts and time completely wasted for HRs whose offer letters are ghosted.... more over 2 person who can get that offer are also not selected. keep sharing feedbacks to job seekers this is specially for those HRs who thought ringing their phone multiple time make them feel super busy in office... feedbacks also give person to improve and grow, however before this HRs needs to grow. This is something you are looking Ethical candidate and you himself or herself not even aware about your basic BAU ethics. communication is always 2 ways. once you start communicating to candidate complete that circle. don't allow candidate to assume and after 40-50 days candidate receives that by default email of "Unfortunately" wala. seriously offline was the best practice of interviews atleast candidate and interviewer get time to know each other about their interpersonal skills about their behaviour and approach toward problem solving, online interview is just fake practice to make fool of candidates, or it only works when their is bulk. requirement to the business. Hope this message will be taken positively.
