Transforming Risk into Opportunity | IT Audit & Compliance Leader | Driving Security, Innovation, & Resilience | STEM MBA/MSIS Class '26
During our recent trip to Berlin, our team had the opportunity to present our final business challenge project on Detoxi to a panel, including Dr. Florian Caspari. This project focused on researching the digital Detoxi app and developing actionable business ideas to support its success in the German market. Through this process, I gained invaluable insights into the unique factors influencing digital health solutions, particularly the importance of tailoring approaches to resonate with specific market needs and cultural preferences. One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the hands-on global learning experience we gained in Berlin. Adapting Detoxi’s offerings for Germany required us to dive deep into market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and local user behavior. This applied learning reinforced the significance of flexibility and cultural awareness—qualities essential for success in today’s interconnected business environment. The challenge was not only an exercise in strategic thinking but also an impactful experience in market analysis, user experience design, and cross-cultural communication. Receiving feedback from Dr. Caspari and the panel further underscored the value of strategic foresight and adaptability in supporting digital health innovations internationally. This experience has left me with a deeper understanding of how empathy, cultural intelligence, and strategic alignment are essential for meaningful global impact, equipping me for a future in international business.Baylor University MBA ProgramsMcBride Center for International Businessdetoxi Health GmbH #GlobalLearning #DigitalHealth #CulturalIntelligence #BaylorMBA #BusinessStrategy #LeadershipDevelopment #BerlinExperience

Guess what? We’re still celebrating 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲’𝐬 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒! 🎉🎉🎉 __Today we are focusing on our 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬. When considering #diversity, the German Mittelstand does not come to mind immediately. But is this entirely fair? Yes and No. __💡 𝐘𝐞𝐬, because the German Mittelstand falls behind startups, scale-ups, and corporates, with an average Global Diversity score of 33 out of 100 (learn more here: https://lnkd.in/dhzD2vbw). Our experience shows that the Mittelstand faces challenges in adopting international hiring practices, starting with translating contracts into English. The predominance of the German language 🇩🇪, while understandable particularly in certain industries, is undeniably a significant barrier to hiring international talent. __💡 𝐍𝐨, because there's a noticeable shift within the German Mittelstand. Now, more than ever, driven by a shortage of skilled labor, companies recognize the necessity to adapt and open their doors to international talent if they wish to remain competitive. ALDI SÜD, Metro Inc., TRUMPF, and Vaillant Group are leading here. We at Imagine call all Mittelstand companies to reach out to us. We're here to be your partner when it comes to international hiring! 🤝 But now, Congrats to all Mittelstand category Winners who will pave the way for more to come: KWS Group Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐦 Today, we will meet Ervin and Hildegunn at the Innovation Norway Stockholm office. 💼 Ervin is a senior advisor who has been with the office for almost three years. He has experience in marketing, business development, and coaching start-ups and scale-ups, primarily within internationalization, as well as innovation and EU funding. Hildegunn has previous experience from Sopra Steria, where she worked as a graduate consultant. Together with Cecilia, they form the trade team at our office. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐧? I joined the Stockholm office as an advisor in April, and since then, I’ve learned so much. In this role, I have the privilege of working with a diverse range of Norwegian companies across various sectors, all eager to explore opportunities in the Swedish market. Together with our office manager, Robert, I’ll be placing a special focus on the energy sector, particularly in areas where Norwegian companies can make a significant impact on Sweden's green transition, such as offshore wind and carbon capture and storage (CCS). 𝐄𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞? Like my colleagues, I help Norwegian companies with various aspects of their export journey and their interest in the Swedish market, assisting them in taking important steps in their expansion to Sweden. I work with clients from different industries, but I have a special responsibility for the healthcare sector. So, if you are a Norwegian healthtech or life science company with an interest in Sweden, you'll probably get in touch with me at some point. Right now, I’m planning a new Global Growth program focused on the Swedish market and smart hospitals. 📚 Ervin studied business at Linnaeus University and has been a head coach for a floorball team. Hildegunn completed her master’s in engineering at KTH last year and has also taken courses in psychology. They are the newest members of the export team and have already contributed new ideas and solutions. 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐧, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐦? Outdoors! Whether I’m going for a quick walk or leisurely strolling through the city on weekends, I absolutely love the beautiful blend of city life and nature in Stockholm. Of course, I always make time to stop at one of the cozy fika spots or charming wine bars along the way. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐄𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧? I spend most of my time with my family, where our two-year-old son is the main attraction. But if I get some time for myself, I have a deep interest in sports, especially in the club AIK, of which I am an active member. I'm also a season ticket holder for both the men's and women's football teams and try to catch AIK in other sports like floorball, ice hockey, handball, and more.

🌟 What an unforgettable evening at WeSTEM+ Luxembourg! 🌟 THANK YOU, Patrícia Souza (She/Her), Vasiliki Moschou and the whole WeSTEM+ Team, for this fantastic event! Yesterday, over 100 passionate individuals came together to discuss the future of work, leadership, and inclusion - what a powerful reminder of the value of community and collaboration in shaping the future! The energy in the room was undeniable, and the lineup of brilliant speakers - Christina Gonzalez, Corinne Pommerell, Magdalena Cordero 🇪🇺, and Marc Charlier - left us all with insights that hit home. Here are my key takeaways from their discussions: 💡 Expose children much earlier to STEM education. – Christina Gonzalez 💡 IT/Tech is about relationships. – Corinne Pommerell 💡 Leadership is not a position, but a behaviour. – Magdalena Cordero 💡 Despite AI being a part of our lives, don’t be afraid of the future. – Marc Charlier Each insight reminds me that changing mindsets starts early, building connections and leading with empathy are key to navigating today's rapidly evolving world. I also had the privilege of leading a workshop on my AspireLux Careers programme, aimed at empowering job seekers in Luxembourg to take the next step in their careers. The conversation we had about local job market challenges was both eye-opening and inspiring, and it was incredible to witness the enthusiasm from participants eager to grow and excel. Yesterday, Børsen published a new report shedding light on the most attractive workplaces in Denmark for today's youth. This analysis was carried out by Universum, a global consulting firm that gathered responses from no less than 13,538 students. 👨🎓 In just one year, USTC has improved its position by a full 25 places on the ranking and is now ranked 49th. This is particularly interesting as it is the most promising talents of the upcoming generations who have acknowledged us in this way. This reflects our continued appeal and ability to attract and retain talent in a competitive world, for which we are truly grateful 🙏 https://lnkd.in/dSwzaT3H (Article in Danish). #weareUSTC

Is Germany poised for a comeback after a very difficult year? At #ExpoReal, our CEO Lars Meisinger shared the stage with a panel of experts to explore the future of Germany's real estate market. Here are the key insights: 1️⃣ Market Resilience: With higher transaction volumes in H1 2024 vs H1 2023, we believe the bottom has been reached. Germany, along with the UK, remains one of the most attractive markets for international capital in Europe. There is immense potential in the senior living and residential sectors due to ongoing demand-supply gaps. 2️⃣ Challenges Ahead: While the economy is focused on green restructuring, political uncertainty and a lack of digitalization in planning authorities are obstacles slowing down investment. However, these challenges also offer opportunities for innovation and growth. 3️⃣ Looking Forward: As the general election approaches, hope remains that political clarity will unlock more investments. There’s still a huge gap in Germany's living sector, signaling bright prospects for proactive investors. Thank you to the fellow panelists, Alexander Hund, Lars Schnidrig, Rebekah Tobias, Christian Müller, and to Real Asset Media for organizing such a powerful discussion. #ExpoReal #Germany #RealEstate

Wirquin Group President: conceptor, manufacturer & sales of innovative solutions between blue & grey waters in the house. Board of "Réseau Entreprendre"
Why visit our OpCos ? These past weeks, I have visited several of our companies. With the increasing pressure on carbon footprint reduction, it becomes more important to be able to explain why I travel. My objectives? Meet our customers & teams, on site. At Wirquin, we strongly believe that proximity is key. A belief that I apply to myself. Be present, discuss in direct, with no filters, understand challenges & expectations of the moment, sometime frustrations, but also listen some happy colleagues & customers, explain what they do appreciate, in cooperating with Wirquin. Here are some highlights of my last trips: 1- Wirquin Romania: meet our local customers allow us to adjust our products & services offer, to better match expectations. The passion & commitments of our local team is really inspiring. Congratulations! 2- Wirquin Spain: speaking to our Spanish partners pushes us toward more innovative solutions. Thank you to our Madrid team, you’re doing a great job! 3- Wirquin HK & China: meeting our teams & customers, eating in our canteen showed me all the progress done, since I was based there, until 2018. Well done to the management team, for this great progress. 4- Wirquin UK: I was delighted to notice the positive impact of our products on the UK market. Enthusiasm & commitments of our local team are precious for the business development. These meetings are inspiring for me, and always generate new ideas. They are an important tool, that confirms me the Wirquin Group is in a great shape! Thank you, to all of you, so precious to our customers and to keep growing efficiently our business. Let’s build together our promising & sustainable future! 🚀 #Leadership #Proximity #Innovation #ClientFirst #TeamWirquin #ProfessionalTravels
