People grow into one of two mindsets. One group of people are really good at what they do, and they are also good at following directions. Therefore, they are good at being employees. There is another group of people who have a set of skills and are also good at seeing opportunities. They are independent minded, marching to their own beat. In Unemployable: How I Hired Myself, the author Alysia Silberg describes her upbringing in the poor and crime-ridden side of Johannesburg, South Africa. However, her father, a former Hollywood makeup artist, brought light into her world through his pharmacy and costume store. He would tell her that she was a gifted seller, that she had a “divine sparkle.” https://lnkd.in/eQQysPEZ

📚Book Review: Finding Me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is just wow! 🤯 To read about someone’s life story as hard as Viola’s is both humbling and inspiring! I read this book because I love Viola Davis as an actress! She’s so convincing and versatile and powerful on screen! Much like she talked about in the book, she’s a dark-skinned woman and we don’t usually get plastered on the big screen. I love this for her and women like me! #representationmatters I gave this book 5 stars it’s so real and raw! She leaves nothing out and brings you into the gravity of her life. Ups and downs. Internal battles and external. She owns her story and that’s something I highly respect! The cursing caught me off guard 🥴, but it was from a very unique point-of-view that needed to be added for her story to be told. 🔑 A Few Key Takeaways: 👉🏾 Your family is your family. You can embrace it and move forward or be ashamed all your life about it and stay stuck. 👉🏾 Believe in who God made you to be and invest in THAT person. No matter what. 👉🏾 Dreams and goals matter. Pursue them. 👉🏾 Money is nice, but it does not solve all problems. 👉🏾 God can change your life if you let Him! ✨ #leadersarereaders #PersonalDevelopment #menziemakesmoves #findingme #stayfervent #ferventservant #bookshelf #blackhistory #violadavis

Emotionally charged. Fast paced women’s fiction at its best. Front and back laminated gloss cover, artwork and design by @peterryanart, so what's the book all about? ‘The Writer, The Hairdresser and The Nurse' intertwines the struggles and dynamics of three women’s working, family and romantic relationships, focusing on friendship to help get them through. The story is chronologically written in third person narrative. Each chapter is told from the perspectives of best friends…(blurb) The Writer's Story: With declining book sales and critics calling Agnes Robert’s romance writing rigid, a lot depends on her next book. Is the stale relationship with her potentially cheating absent husband Doug to blame? Can she climb back to the bestseller lists with the help of Marcus Oliver, a handsome debut author waiting in the wings? The Hairdresser's Story: Despite infertility impacting their lives, Donna’s marriage to Matthew Hayden is a fairy tale, one her tyrant boss Amanda and unbearable mother-in-law try to destroy often. But when pushed to her absolute limit, can Donna break free of all that holds her back and go into business for herself, setting up her own salon to save her spirit and her clients? The Nurse's Story: Kristy Johns is suffocating with five kids and an Emergency Department roster leaving her feeling frazzled, with no support from her children’s unemployed father Karl, and her troubled sister Nat, free from jail, and wanting back in their lives, can Kristy open her heart to second chances from those who need it most? “Many men become failures and experience almost constant rejection when trying to seduce their wives or long-term girlfriends, because they become totally focused on getting laid, instead of giving, loving, listening, communicating and courting their women properly. When a man becomes focused on getting laid instead of opening up his woman by asking questions, being sincerely interested, caring, creating romantic and fun dates, and being a good listener, she does not feel heard or understood. When a woman does not feel heard and understood, her legs close. When she does, her legs open and seducing her is easy, effortless, fun, romantic, passionate, magical and memorable.” ~ Coach Corey Wayne Get Quotes, Ruminations & Contemplations Volume 2 FREE with an Audible trial:

I’ve been doing Storytelling for a few years. I find my true stories not only entertaining and fun, but are also useful with my potential book publicity clients. Of course I tell potential book clients one of my best and truest stories, of having my first book doing book publicity on, was already 12 years old, and the book went onto the #NewYorkTimesBestsellerList within six months and stayed their for 63 weeks. Great story, true, and a wonderful introduction to my potential book publicity client. Hopefully the author is open to listening and learning and has their own important questions to ask me. (Make a list before speaking). I’ve had over 20 years experience and work internationally and in USA with published and self published authors-my kind of books: self care, romance, YA, Alzheimer, dementia, foster care, historic novels, audio, trans, gay, black,Native American, Puerto Rican, Muslim, Israeli, Jewish, Bahai, funny books, memoir , mystery, art, hip hop, Aboriginal, Buddhism, historical fiction, And any book that takes my breath away-that’s a good thing. It's the summertime. Whether you are on some nice ⛱ or in the 🌄, summer is always good for some interesting triller, drama, rom com… Or whatever you like. It’s your summer and your choice. Here are some of the tips for the books to read this summer 👇🏻 📌 #SheSaid. An inside look at the story that brought down Harvey Weinstein and awarded The New York Times journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor with Pulitzer Prize for their investigative journalism. 📌 #TheWeddingPeople. A gratifying story about how people who have given up might find a reason to start caring again. 📌 #TheWidowsGuideToDeadBastards. A story of family betrayal and how do you cope with it – to decide if you go into hate or you learn how to forgive and find love even in the dark places. 📌 #NoRoadHome. A gothic suspenseful thriller about the father fighting for his son. &.... 📌 #VoliMeVišeOdSvegaNaSvijetu. One of the best, if not the best ex-Yu actress, reveals everything about her life in this heartful book. Excellent storyteller in her last final moment. One & only, Mira Furlan 💔 So, these are just some of the recommendations. There are certainly many more. The most important is to grab your book, for one moment enter into some imaginary worlds & enjoy the summer. Cheers! ☀ #books #reading #creativity

“Men should seek out and date women who, at a minimum, have these rare, but healthy characteristics and qualities: 1) she is flexible, easy going & has a good attitude, 2) she places a high value on loyalty, honesty & communication, 3) she is affectionate & giving, 4) she is patient, kind & not easily offended, 5) she is balanced, passionate about her career/business & has a drama-free life, 6) she is happy, optimistic, has a healthy self-esteem & builds people up. Men who date women that lack these six baseline minimum character traits and qualities, are asking for unnecessary drama, frustration, heartache & suffering.” ~ Coach Corey Wayne Get Quotes, Ruminations & Contemplations Volume 2 FREE with an Audible trial:
