Helping companies connect their products 💜 Marketing Manager at Twintag

Yesterday, I participated in a day-long online event on the Digital Product Passport organized by CIRPASS - Digital Product Passport, cannot imagine how much time and work went into that! More than 30 speakers, 2000 online attendees, and almost 8 hours of input-dense presentations 🤭 So what were my main takeaways? 🗓️ 2027 will be THE year for Digital Product Passports in Europe, all industries falling under compliance will need to implement initial prototypes. 🗓️ Product data standards should be set by the end of 2025. 🗓️ Batteries will pave the way and roll out DPPs starting February 18, 2027. 🌱 Digital Product Passports go beyond sustainability regulations and offer avenues for competitive differentiation. 🌱 It enables digitization of processes such as attaching care instructions, facilitating extended product lifecycle, reuse, repair, and manual accessibility via digital platforms. 👨💻 Emphasis on interoperability and access rights management, ensuring sensitive product information is only accessible on a need-to-know basis and protected from the general public. 👨💻 Advocacy for a decentralized solution to Digital Product Passports. 👨💻 Prioritization of product-centric data system for the general public and data-centric system for authorities. 👨💻 Web technology is necessary for enhanced accessibility. 👨💻 Importance of integrating post-purchase, use phase data to assess product durability effectively. 👨💻 Multilingual support for broader adoption and accessibility. Huge thanks to the speakers William Neale, Carolynn Bernier, Michele Galatola, Eduard Wagner, Tilmann Vahle, Thibaut Wautelet, Mario Osterwalder, Dr. Johannes Simböck, Eduard Wagner, Diana Baumgärtel, Jens Dr. Gayko, Patrick Gering, Marvin Böll, Rigo Wenning, Andreas Schneider, Coenraad van Deventer, Minh Le, Andres Alcayaga, Anna-Lena Hoffmann, Kamila Kocia, Joao Rodrigues Frade, and Ilias Iakovidis. And for Carolynn Bernier for brilliantly moderating the event 💙 #digitalproductpassport #dpp #eucommission #eugreendeal #espr #circulareconomy
