MDRC, a collaborative effort, is paving the way for energy storage and battery manufacturing crucial for the Department of Defense’s rapid transition to Electric Vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy sources.
💼 With a focus on workforce development, MDRC partners with MxD Learn and SAE International. MxD is crafting an Electric Vehicle (EV) Hiring Guide, outlining the skills needed for roles in the EV supply chain, with a special emphasis on energy storage and battery supply chains. Additionally, MxD will develop a Community Equity Plan to ensure underserved communities can participate in the EV sector.
📚 SAE International is spearheading the development of industry standards for battery manufacturing and lifecycle maintenance, alongside creating Workforce Certifications for roles in the battery supply chain.
