This confirmation of #IRG forces working alongside the #Houthis in #Yemen is a big deal. But #Iran isn’t the only #Axis regime acting via #proxies here. Don’t forget that Iran publicly signed a 25 year cooperation agreement with #China in 2021. IMO, #Houthi hostility in the #RedSea is part of a much larger #Axis strategy to spread the USA thin & foment a run on our overextended foreign commitments just like an insolvent bank.

New figures on military spending released by SIPRI and analysed by GCOMS reveal that militarism is advancing rapidly across the globe. 📈 Global military spending increased by 6.8% in real terms with the EU outpacing this significantly.

SNMG2 and SNMCMG2 conducted a Passing Exercise (PASSEX) with JS Kashima and JS Shimakaze from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s Training Squadron in the Eastern Med. During the operation, the ships conducted a wide range of activities, from maneuvering exercises to communications drills, and sailors had the opportunity to visit each other’s ships in a cross-deck exercise, The PASSEX fostered international cooperation with NATO Partner Japan. “The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force has a longstanding relationship with NATO when it comes to Maritime Security. We are seeing more and more that the Indo-Pacific is important for NATO, given that developments in that region can directly affect Euro-Atlantic security,” said Canadian Navy Commodore Matthew Coates, Commander of SNMG2. “Exercising with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force in the Eastern Mediterranean is a fantastic representation of the interconnectedness between NATO and Japan. NATO's annual Jump exercise integral training for the NATO Response Force - Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) "This year the obligation falls under the command of JFC Brunssum. Exercise Brilliant Jump 2024 is being held in the Drawsko Pomorskie exercise area in Northern Poland. 3,000 personnel and 700 vehicles from predominantly five NATO nations (Albania, Poland, Spain, Türkiye and the United Kingdom) are participating." 🚨 China 'practices' encircling #Taiwan Geopolitical fallout from the West failing to aid #Ukraine continues to expand. China now openly rehearses their planned invasion of Taiwan. ☝️ China's Eastern Theater Command has begun “Joint Sword-2024B" - a combined #military drill using its army, navy, air force, rocket force & coast guard around Taiwan. Remember when russia was holding #military "drills" on the border of Ukraine late 2021? And Putin said they totally weren't going to invade? 🔍 This exercise is even designed to simulate a comprehensive military encirclement of Taiwan. Yes, they're actually practicing for the invasion. The window closes ~2035. Not much time left, Winnie isn't getting younger either. The #USA and #EU demonstrated a fear of escalation in Europe and the Middle East. This lack of strength projection only encourages dictators like Xi to do as they please. And innocents will pay the price. #Intelligence

You are not sure how this affects your life now or in future and what relevance it has on LI? 1) It is our reluctance to answer these conflicts in an appropriate and required manner, that fuel these dictators will to expand their power. And as Marjin says in below post - the innocent will pay the price! - This means it should affect your daily life already - what is your contribution to the answers required? - Raise your voice, support those who support, do not fall for foreign manipulation attempts (massive also here on LI), get insight and learn to know your rights and plights as democratic citizen. - Do not vote for those who want to tear down personal freedom. 2) Relevant for LI already now? Yes! It requires ressources from all of us "already now" to help enforce sanctions on Russia and trying to reduce our dependancy on China. - Would you make projects and thus create industrial capacity in a country of authoritarian regime that has declared war on your values and your freedom? 3) If we continue not answering the treaths, there will come a time where "business as usual" is not possible any more, also for you/me/us. My guess is that this timeline is within 3-5-10 years from now, depending on where you are located.
