Genma Holmes Scores at GEODIS Park! Landing a contract with the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada has opened a new field of work for Holmes Pest Control by providing pest control services to this 30,000-seat stadium, Nashville’s newest major sports and entertainment venue. But the road to attaining major goals starts with hard practice, which Genma had done for years. Then came the pandemic. Genma says it’s important for small business owners to: “Be willing to relearn and adjust! Be willing to do something differently and navigate the waters we’re in.” NBIC encouraged her to scale her endeavors, and now she’s making history scoring big with Nashville SC! Genma prepared to get in the game with focused training through NBIC as part of our intensive Groundwork program where she made concerted improvements to her marketing and business trajectory doing the work necessary to do things differently to best position Holmes Pest Control for new opportunities to expand its revenue. Maybe it’s time you rethink some aspects of your business. If you need a different view and want to know how to expand your market, take NBIC’s biz quiz www.nbichub.org/bizquiz to get started on your new path to success! Congratulations to Genma Holmes for her diligence, tenacity, and continued strong performance in winning a significant agreement with a major customer player! Venue Hire. With it’s idyllic, exclusive rooftop terrace garden, the only one of it’s kind and various sized rooms to hire created with your business in mind.
When we first started at Goldney we had the plan to run classes and sell spaces to individual members of the public.... Then covid hit...AGAIN! We soon realised we needed to think again, we tried LOTS of ideas. It soon became overwhelming soooo many ideas we were just throwing out and hoping they would stick! But what was it all for? What did we want? Were we actually doing something that aligned with our values? We stripped the business back and got MUCH CLEARER! We knew what we wanted and what our values were and this made things sooooo much easier, clearer and more enjoyable! We didn't exactly waste time as we learned loads! However it did waste a lot of energy when we could have just started with the right foundations and that's why we would always recommend anyone starting a new business to do the same! "Business without Being a Bellend!" is running AGAIN on 22nd May at Goldney House with the very knowledgeable (And don't tell him but sometimes funny) Adam Brooks from Sales Academy! Click link in bio and Events for more info...these sell out fast!! #businessstrategy #businessplanning #businessgrowth2024

What a cracking yarn! Craig Mcrae is my go to all things leadership (of those in the public eye and are not fictional, sorry Gandalf) but Billy's gonna have to join the club! A few wisdom bombs that resonated for me. Earning it... huge yes! Earn would have to be one of my favourite words. One of the big reasons I was, and am still, so drawn to PR. I love how he spoke about earning rather than winning. Such a good mindset. IMO winning is hollow if you don't earn it and the real victory is in the journey rather than the outcome. It's knowing that you've put in the effort to deserve to win regardless of the result. Balancing feeback Great discussion in this ep about laying the ground work to give honest feedback. If the only time you ever speak with someone is to tell them how they could do it better it puts the work ahead of the person. Doing awesome stuff for others I loved his story about gifting Hugh a personalise QLD jumper, actually, I love their whole flipping friendship. But that specifically, such a great moment of empathy and really going the next level to demonstrate how much he cares about people. I reckon he felt like a legend in that moment 😉 Yarnberg Entertainment No surprises to see how well QLD are going when they've got a legend like this at the wheel. Big love to The Resilience Project, the guys and Bridget Northeast for an inspiring ep, give it a listen below 👏 #leadership #legends #empathy #earnit https://lnkd.in/gjj-DRtB

A fantastic article on the power of transforming vacant historic buildings into community assets!
Larry Curtis, President and Managing Partner of WinnDevelopment, recently discussed the pivotal project of his career in Affordable Housing Finance Magazine’s series, “The Development that Changed My Life." Starting his career with Winn in 1986, Larry assumed his current leadership role at WinnDevelopment in 2003. The redevelopment of Boott Mills in Lowell, MA, was the first historic adaptive reuse project that Larry pursued with Winn, transforming the long-vacant historic mill into The Apartments and Lofts at Boott Mills, a 154-unit mixed-income community. Read more about how Boott Mills changed the trajectory of Larry's career here: https://lnkd.in/enXtW9wj
