The #RenewableCarbonInitiative has signed the #AntwerpDeclaration for a European Deal! RCI fully believes that it is necessary for Europe to actively shape the future landscape of its industry, maintain competitiveness and keep high-value jobs in Europe. In particular, RCI completely aligns with points 3, 5 and 6: ➡ Make Europe a globally competitive provider of energy: Providing globally competitive energy through grid expansion for hydrogen and other renewable and low-carbon molecules (point 3) ➡ Increasing EU’s raw material security including #biobased feedstocks and #CCU (point 5) ➡ Boosting demand for net zero, low carbon and circular products (point 6) The pursuit of a European #IndustrialDeal is paramount, yet it's the integration of #sustainability that truly forms its core. Achieving #netzero by 2050 isn't just a target; it's a commitment to innovation, public trust, and a sustainable future. Transparency and credibility are the cornerstones of this journey. Moreover, for industries reliant on carbon, #RenewableCarbon is indispensable in forging a sustainable path forward.  🚀 You may have heard of #hydrogen in recent years, but do you know how the EU is supporting its development via the R&I programmes?   🔹 New report was recently published on the contribution of the R&I programmes towards the uptake of hydrogen in Europe.    🔹 Near 800 hydrogen projects have been funded since 2007, with near EUR 3 billion in funding. 🔹 The entire value chain has been covered: production, distribution & storage, and end-use applications. We're excited to announce that Sonia Rando Matos, Hydrogen for Mobility Supply Chain Manager at Air Products, has been elected as co-chair of the ISCC - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) Technical Committee.   "I am honoured to have been elected Co-Chair of the ISCC RFNBO Technical Committee. This committee addresses important sustainability matters, and I will do my best to contribute to its success.   Renewable Hydrogen is needed to fight climate change, and certification schemes have a key role to play. We need robust certification systems to build trust in the markets and for customers to be certain that what they are buying will deliver GHG savings.   We also need certification for boosting the green H2 economy to prove molecules qualify towards individual member state renewable energy obligations."   #AirProducts #Hydrogen #ISCC #Sustainability
