Yesterday, I did our oral presentation called: “Enhancing #Critical #Thinking in Physician Assistant Education: Leveraging #AI for Test Question Creation” Chacon-Baesa. #Aims: This study is aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-generated prompts in a flipped classroom setting to enhance  critical thinking.   This study was based on learning objectives within the Pathophysiology syllabus and conducted with PA students. While #ChatGPT proved valuable in challenging critical thinking, it was emphasized that students must approach the activity prepared and utilize additional reliable sources. #Discussion: •The study highlighted the importance of faculty expertise in reviewing the exercise.  •The findings suggest that AI may serve as an excellent supplementary resource in a flipped classroom model, but faculty guidance remains essential for a comprehensive learning experience.

Projects to improve the #fairness of #AI systems in #highereducation and to use the technology in addressing #bias in #healthcare are among those to have won funding under the Government’s AI Fairness Innovation Challenge run by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology The Open University is leading the higher education project, aimed is at developing a solution to improve the fairness of AI systems in the sector and a framework for universities to develop their own systems.
