Ever wondered what it would be like to be a student at the University of Oxford?
Well, that’s exactly the experience we will give 100 of our young people from underrepresented backgrounds tonight, as we take them to Oxford for an overnight residential stay.
Students will stay in halls, attend taster lectures, network with current students, and fully immerse themselves in the Oxford University experience. This is part of our long-term partnership with Wadham College.
But this residential is more than just a visit; it’s a life-changing opportunity. By walking, living, and sleeping in these historic halls, our young people will see their dreams as tangible and achievable.
Statistics show that students who engage in university environments are significantly more likely to pursue higher education. A degree, particularly from a prestigious university, continues to be a significant factor in long-term prosperity. It has the power to break the cycle of poverty.
Our thanks to Wadham College for their generous support in making this possible. This reflects our joint efforts towards increasing social mobility and empowering underrepresented young people to believe that they, too, belong in places like this.
