Public Relations / Internal comms/ Change management/ Event management

HOW TO LEAD THROUGH THE CHANGE? Management or leadership? Both of them are needed for organizational change, although they have different roles to play.  Leadership produces change, transformation and disruption, while management produces order and consistency. Leadership is about creating a vision for change, while management is about translating the vision into agendas and actions. Viewing leadership as a process stresses that it is a two-way, interactive event between leaders and individuals rather than a linear, one-way event in which the leader affects individuals only. It means that leaders affect and are affected by their employees either positively or negatively. More importantly, it means that leadership is not restricted to just one person in a team, department or organization who has positional power, usually the formally appointed leader. Instead it makes it available to people throughout the organization. Commitment is an important enabler of change. Irrespective of how brilliant a vision may be, if employees do not buy into it then very little will change. One way to build commitment is to create an environment in which the people most affected by change have a role in shaping it. #changemanagement #leadership #changecommunication #internalcomms #change
