🚀 Embracing Team Spirit in a Remote-First World 🚀 As we navigate the remote-first landscape, it's clear that while skills are crucial, the real magic lies in our engineers' dedication to the product and their teammates. In Sri Lanka, our work culture often swings between extremes—either causing unnecessary panic or defying the hierarchy without considering business growth. At ArchLabs, we believe in fostering engineers who care deeply about the product and their fellow team members. This goes beyond individual success; it's about mutual support and collective progress. Sometimes it's a sacrifice, sometimes it's an investment, but it's always about building loyalty and responsibility. Over the years, I've experienced the power of giving and receiving help from both tech and non-tech professionals. This reciprocity is the foundation of the loyalty every company and investor seeks. Our ArchLabs interns, even while working remotely, need to feel connected to their teammates and the products they develop. This ethos is why our Archmage team members are in such high demand—not because they are inherently better, but because they carry a profound sense of loyalty and responsibility. Let's cultivate a culture where we not only develop top-notch engineers but also build a community that values collaboration and growth. #TeamSpirit #RemoteWork #Collaboration #ProductDevelopment #ArchLabs #EngineeringCulture #Loyalty #GrowthMindset

We are excited to announce this month's #employeespotlight as none other than Timothy McReynolds, one of our rockstar #SoftwareDevelopers! We had a few minutes to sit down with Timothy (Who goes by Ramsey) to discuss what he is passionate about in the workplace: 1) What has been your favorite project you worked on at Elevator3? Why? My favorite project at Elevator3 has been Lumato because I have gotten the chance to work on new features I couldn't do on other projects, and I get to research and explore the best methods to implement them. 2) What would you tell a young person wanting to enter the technology workspace? Always remember that growth can only happen outside of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid to learn something new, no matter how complex and scary it may seem. 3) What piece of advice would you offer businesses to be successful in the ever-changing technology space? It's important to realize that developers are passionate about delivering great products in ways that meet your expectations and can facilitate future growth. Be sure to give them the time and resources to create software you can both be proud of. 4) It's been a year since you graduated from college; what was it like transitioning from intern to employee at E3? I'm working on the same projects I worked on as an intern, but I'm a lead developer now and have many more responsibilities. It used to scare me until I learned to trust myself to get things done and trust my team to help me through the difficulties. 5) As a remote employee, how do you stay connected with your E3 co-workers? I like to message my fellow developers whenever I discover a new feature in our tech stack or when I create something cool on a project. Other than that, I try to stay active in our group messages and engage in our meetings. #softwaredeveloper #employeespotlight #goingup #kingramsey #alwaysbegrowing #louisianadeveloper #SELU

We love every member in our BrightMinded team, and we like spending as much time as possible together. For a few years now some of us have been working remotely. Although it’s lovely for the team to be able to work from anywhere and create a great work-life balance, we miss turning around at our desks and ask each other quick questions, talk about our weekend, go out for food together, etc. This week our lovely Anwen Williams came down to Brighton, from far away, to pay a visit. As any excuse is great to go out for some food and chatter together, we enjoyed a great meal at Modelo Lounge, a restaurant and bar in Hove with a lot of different meal options to suit everyone’s preferences. We were so busy eating and chatting that we forgot to take a picture of our meal! It’s great to spend time off-work with your team, we consider team bonding very important at BrightMinded, because it: -Builds trust between the team -Encourages collaboration in projects -Fosters engagement and happiness At BrightMinded we are a small family of software experts, we all share the same passion for coding, and enjoy our time spent together. If you would like some ideas on team bonding activities or quality time meetups - give a read to our latest blog to find out! https://lnkd.in/d7XfMRng #BrightMindedteam #gettogether #family #software #websitedevelopment #news

🤔💡 Did you know? Cultural fit often outweighs coding prowess when building your team. That's right – hiring "rockstars" might not always strike the right chord. 🎸✖️For many organisations, how someone meshes with the team culture can be just as crucial as their technical skills. It's essential to have strategies in place to assess cultural fit and to consider engaging your non-technical staff too. Investing in the career development of all your excellent employees, regardless of their tech know-how, is key to a harmonious and productive workplace. 🚀🌟 Let's focus on nurturing a workspace where everyone fits in perfectly. #CulturalFit #TeamBuilding #CareerDevelopment #WorkplaceCulture #NonTechTalent

It's fun to work on innovative projects with the latest technology. It's more than just a job for many of us; it's a passion. We take immense pride in our work, always striving to push boundaries and deliver exceptional results. However, there's a noticeable difference when it comes to productivity between work projects and personal side projects. Many talented developers I know have side projects that are far more cutting-edge and innovative than their day jobs. In just two hours, they can achieve more on these side projects than they might in a week at their regular job. Why? Because it's fun. There are no limitations, no bureaucracy, no legacy code, and no outdated technology holding them back. On their own projects, they have the freedom to experiment, innovate, and move swiftly without the constraints that often bog down workplace productivity. These developers are fearless. They aren't afraid to fail, to try new things, or to learn continuously. It's this spirit of exploration and dedication that drives the tech industry forward, yet it often seems stifled in a typical work environment. Imagine the potential if we could bring that same level of passion and freedom to our workplace projects. #Innovation #TechPassion #SoftwareDevelopment #SideProjects #BreakFree #Productivity

Meet Dat Nguyen: AI Dev Intern on Hybrid Working at Dwarves Starting out remotely, Dat Nguyen soon saw the benefits of Dwarves’ hybrid working model. With guidance from XUAN ANH NGUYEN and others, he’s been able to dive into real-world learning, picking up skills on the go. Dat’s journey is all about practical experience, quick exchanges, and real teamwork - exactly how we like to do things here. "I started at Dwarves working remotely, focusing on LLM/AI. While remote work gave me space, coming into the office changed everything. Learning here doesn’t happen through presentations or meetings but in quick exchanges with everyone - from the CEO to team members. Hybrid work became a faster way to learn. Instant feedback and casual chats about LLM trends helped me understand things quickly. The insights I gained in person were far more valuable than figuring things out alone at home. The quick chats turn into real learning moments. In an environment where mentors and seniors are always learning, newbies feel encouraged to do the same. It’s all rooted in Dwarves’ mentorship culture. When I struggled with an LLM model, a quick whiteboard session with Tom cleared things up in minutes, saving hours of trial and error. I also learned a lot by observing how others tackled challenges. Watching my mentor optimize code taught me more than weeks of remote tutorials. Seeing everyone solve problems up close taught me more than any online guide. Their approach helped me grasp things much faster. Working with input from different team members gave me a broader view of collaboration. Being in the office sharpened my ability to think on my feet, something much harder to develop remotely. The hybrid setup gives me the best of both worlds. I focus remotely but get that extra push from being in the office when needed. At Dwarves, we improve and push forward, together." Read Dat's story: https://lnkd.in/gynWQAhv #hybrid #dwarves #lifeatdwarves #software _ Life at Dwarves is a series of stories about people, perspectives, and lives at Dwarves.
