Plooto project has already been running for 11 months. One of the project's aims is to innovate and make possible the reuse of waste carbon fiber composite materials for new products. Such an achievement shall contribute to the circular economy, reducing the environmental impact and minimizing the product cost, without sacrificing its performance. ACCELIGENCE proudly participates in Plooto, contributing with one of its UAVs as a pilot product. In the context of Plooto, the CFRP parts of this UAV shall be redesigned and manufactured from waste CF materials, after a specific requalification and production process. Collaborating with esteemed partners like SIMAC - Svendborg International Maritime Academy and the MARS Group from Svendborg, we've delved into the realm of Next Generation Robotics. One of our flagship initiatives involves the development of a ProZero Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), aimed at revolutionizing maritime operations. In March, we're eagerly anticipating the commencement of the EU-funded project, digital4Eco. This initiative leverages our USVs to gather invaluable data on ecosystems in the world's oceans. It's a testament to the transformative potential of autonomy in environmental monitoring and conservation efforts. Personally, I find this field immensely captivating. Using video from an advanced ROV, scientists have spotted thousands of Port Jackson sharks blanketing the seafloor in Bass Strait’s Beagle Marine Park \>\> 🔗 https://hubs.ly/Q02LxPn00 🦈 Dr Jacquomo Monk of IMAS, the voyage leader, said, “We had been hoping to see the sharks again on this survey. Coming upon them twice in a 3000-square-kilometer park is like finding a needle in a haystack. It was very exciting when we managed to traverse over a rise in the reef to get a glimpse of the sharks snoozing 65-metres below the vessel in almost the same location as they were six years ago. “A spectacular scene was relayed to us by a remotely operated vehicle equipped with seven cameras that was custom built by Boxfish Robotics in collaboration with IMAS.
