On the 8th of May, a date imbued with memory and a duty to remember, we are reminded of the paramount importance of never forgetting the sacrifices made to defend freedom and peace. On this day, our thoughts turn to those who gave their lives so that we could live in a better world, liberated from the shadow of tyranny and oppression. By commemorating this day, we commit to perpetuating the memory of those who fought for freedom, to honoring their legacy by defending the values of democracy, tolerance, and respect for human dignity. For it is by preserving the memory of our past that we build a future of peace, justice, and prosperity for generations to come. May 8th symbolizes the victory of solidarity and fraternity over hatred and division.

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Jubilee Day, is a federal holiday that commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas on June 19, 1865. Although the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863, it took more than two years for the news to reach Texas, which was still under Confederate control during the Civil War! Objectively just saying now, that this piece of art is probably now worth 10x. Not sure if vandalism Not sure about the next time around, as might get old, but this one definitely up in value for the right person. Heck if the opposing side wanted to bring some artist to patch it up, would probably be 40x Then the opposing side can rough it up again, and then the opposing side can patch it up again for an added 100x value and so on and so forth and then they can switch roles and repeat for a 200x value. Then have both sides destroy and patch up at same time for 500x. Bonus: Then have some third entity like Nato add a seal for maybe 1000x value

As we celebrate our nation’s Declaration of Independence that happened 248 years ago, CONSIDER THIS: The American flag does NOT fly because it represents one political party or another. Our flag and this holiday are a reminder of founding fathers and brave soldiers who fought for our nation’s INDEPENDENCE and the FREEDOM to self-govern under GENUINE DEMOCRACY. It is a reminder for ALL races of our nation’s enduring commitment to JUSTICE, LIBERTY, and the importance of INTEGRITY (in the public eye and behind closed doors). As we navigate the complexities of these times, may we ALL choose to engage in encouraging THOUGHTFUL reflection and DIALOGUE instead of divisiveness.
