Sunstone Metals Limited (ASX:STM) has leveraged surface rock chip and channel sampling at the El Palmer Project in northern Ecuador to delineate an extensive new gold-silver opportunity. Along structural strike from the T1 porphyry gold-copper deposit at El Palmar, the target was identified with surface sample results of up to 6.2 g/t #gold and 269 g/t #silver from an epithermal vein zone. Combining information from multiple datasets, Sunstone believes the epithermal vein target stretches over an extensive 600-metre by 400-metre structurally controlled zone. “This is a highly promising result with immense upside,” Sunstone Metals managing director Malcolm Norris said. “These results demonstrate high grades and significant scale. Results from the first four drillholes as part of the U.S. Department of Defense-funded extension drilling at our Idaho Cobalt Operations has confirmed significant resource growth potential at the RAM deposit. The drilling program, which is part of the Defense Production Act Title III funding, has identified strong cobalt-copper-gold mineralisation at depths outside the existing 2023 MRE margins. Four extensional drill holes intersected the main mineralised horizon, with results including 1.8m at 1.10% cobalt, 1.18% copper, and 0.69 g/t gold in Hole JU24-093. These findings, complemented by additional hangingwall intercepts, suggest substantial resource extension potential. Prior to this drilling, ICO was already the largest and highest grade confirmed cobalt orebody in the U.S. The deepest intercept to date indicates strong upside potential of further resource extension at depth, which Jervois anticipates will be tested with future drilling. North Stawell Minerals wishes to expand on the significance of the renewal of EL5443 (ASX:NSM 13 March 2024). EL5443 (Barrabool) covers approximately 182km2 and represents 36% of NSM’s contiguous tenement package along strike to the north of the multi million-ounce gold deposits at Stawell (Figure 1). The tenement is entirely covered by a thin blanket of Murray Basin unmineralised sediments (“cover”) which mask and preserve potential for shallow, large gold deposits similar to the mineralisation at Stawell. The cover is 20-60m thick –gold prospective basement rocks are readily tested with air core drilling. Highly-anomalous #lithium and #gold targets have been identified from soil sampling across Sabre's extensive 700km2 Cave Hill Project tenements in WA’s world-class Eastern Goldfields gold, nickel and lithium province.   Sabre Resources Ltd CEO, Jon Dugdale commented: “These key lithium and  gold soil anomalies we have identified across our  extensive Cave Hill tenements indicate that the large, untested, greenstone corridor discovered within the project is highly-prospective for lithium-bearing pegmatites, as well as gold deposits. “The Company will immediately commence infill sampling, and new sampling programs on other recently granted tenements, to define aircore drilling targets for lithium and gold deposits in the underlying greenstone lithologies. “The Company has over 100km of strike of granted tenements over this newly identified greenstone corridor. The corridor is along strike and parallel to other greenstone belts which host major lithium, gold and nickel deposits in the region, such as the Mt Marion lithium deposit, the 2.8Moz Coolgardie Goldfield and the Nepean nickel mine. The only difference appears to be that the Cave Hill greenstone corridor is under shallow cover, which is why it has remained largely un-explored. “We look forward to further defining these highly-anomalous lithium and gold zones and testing the bedrock potential for new lithium, gold and nickel sulphide discoveries”. QC Copper & Gold. (TSX-V: QCCU.V) Inc. (OTCQB:QCCUF) told investors it has commenced a drill program on the historically significant Cooke and Robitaille Mines. The mines, integral components of Falconbridge's Opemiska Copper Mine Complex, are less than a kilometre from the recently unveiled open pit resource on Opemiska in Quebec's Chapais-Chibougamau District. It will be the first time the company has conducted systemic drilling at the two mines, presenting a "promising opportunity" to define additional 'Opemiska Style' near-surface mineralization, QC Copper said in a statement. STRICKLAND METALS LIMITED (ASX:STK) has returned high-grade gold intersections described as “spectacular” from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Marwari Discovery within the Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia. Based on the RC results, the target zone of mineralisation appears to be striking NE-SW with a southerly plunge, meaning that three diamond holes also drilled were too far east to intersect the targeted mineralised structure in fresh rock, and also with an oblique orientation. Meanwhile, diamond drilling at depth repeatedly intersected very large zones of intense alteration, as typically seen at the outer edges of similarly large gold systems. Aya Gold & Silver Inc. has announced significant drill results from its ongoing exploration at the #Zgounder Silver Mine in #Morocco, revealing high-grade silver intercepts. In the Central Zone from the 1,950m level, hole DZG-SF-24-081 intercepted 1,339 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 9.5 meters, including 2,984 g/t over 4.0m. Hole DZG-SF-24-089 returned 2,522 g/t silver over 3.0m, with a high of 7,052 g/t over 1.0m. The Western Zone, at the 2,000m level, featured hole ZG-SF-24-141, which intercepted 626 g/t silver over 6.0m. Another hole, ZG-SF-24-163, showed 536 g/t silver over 7.0m. In the Eastern Zone, also from the 2,000m level, hole DZG-SF-24-111 recorded 2,372 g/t silver over 6.5m and 1,042 g/t over 4.5m. Hole DZG-SF-24-098 intercepted 1,244 g/t silver over 4.0m, with 2,242 g/t over 2.0m. Benoit La Salle, President & CEO, highlighted the high-grade continuity of #silver mineralization and the expanding resource potential at Zgounder. Four underground rigs are currently operational, expected to yield further results in the coming months.
