We are delighted to announce our partnership with Treebeard Trust, on our new fund tackling the environmental crisis. We've recently launched a Sustainability and Environment Fund because, despite the growing impact of the climate crisis, only 2% of funding goes to environmental charities, and even less to the small, grassroots groups that are responding to local problems. As The Fore is a leading funder of innovative small charities, we wanted to mobilise our networks to address this gap. Treebeard Trust is joining others like Henry Oldfield Trust, Lauren Gupta and Becky Holmes in our mission to back high-impact, high-potential grassroots environmental organisations from the ground up. There are incredible small organisations out there for whom a grant and our Probono support could be truly transformative. We want to fund more, like those we’ve supported in the past—Sal's Shoes, Glasbren, Youngwilders. Get in touch for further information! partnerships@thefore.org **The application process for charities and social enterprises remains the same. For more information on our upcoming funding rounds, click here: https://lnkd.in/e__aY8kD **

Great to see The Fore and Treebeard Trust collaborating to support small grassroots environmental organisations. The shocking statistic that only 2% of global philanthropy goes towards environmental charities (even less to the small orgs among them) came up in our recent advisory work with a philanthropist exploring opportunities for environmental giving. More collaborations like these are sorely needed - and the donors willing and able to back them. #philanthropy #environment #greengiving #advisory #caf

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 In the spirit of #transparency, I want to start sharing our donation impact recaps, highlighting our impactful NGOs around the world supported by our incredible partner brands. Very soon, 74 NGOs across more than 20 countries will be receiving donations through the Contribe platform. But here’s what surprised me (and maybe you too🤔): it’s not just about environmental sustainability. In fact, 61% of the donations are going towards social and humanitarian causes. So, while environmental sustainability is a big part of what we do, I can safely say that Contribe is about so much more than that!

Business and social enterprises working together is a pretty powerful thing.
Our sustainability strategy is more than just words - it's a commitment to action. By 2030, we aim to redirect $100 million of our spending towards social enterprises, Indigenous businesses, BCorps, and charities, and we’re already halfway towards achieving this goal. Last year, in collaboration with Social Traders, we launched an innovative supplier development program. This week we held a panel event to share insights from this unique mentoring partnership with four social enterprises who each work to improve communities and have a social purpose at the core of what they do. Over the past year we have supported YMCA ReBuild, CommUnity Construction, Reground, and Green Connect so that they can become more effective suppliers to large companies like Mirvac. How do we demonstrate our commitment to making a meaningful impact on society? We do it through our role as a responsible business, employer, and investor, and our commitment is embodied in ‘Empowering Sustainable Futures’, our global Philanthropy programme. In this programme, our charitable activities across the business have been unified in an approach which focuses on advancing the vision of ‘Empowering Sustainable Futures’ through three core pillars: • Climate resilience and inclusion for communities • Education for future generations • Protecting biodiversity Discover more: https://urls.fr/YbXhyZ #Philanthropy #Responsibleemployer
