The key challenge lies in accurately perceiving the road surface. 🌐 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗗𝗔𝗥 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 ✅ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀: As the bot moves further away, the laser beams from the LiDAR sensor become less effective at detecting the road due to the angle and dispersion of the beams. This can reduce accuracy in mapping the road surface. ✅ 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: While a higher-mounted sensor can see further, it might miss details close to the bot. Balance is key to ensure effective detection of both near and far obstacles. ✅ 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Identifying small, passable obstacles versus larger, impassable ones is crucial for safe navigation and ensuring the bot can effectively maneuver around or over obstacles. ✅ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: Puddles can create misleading reflections or fail to register, causing navigation errors. 🛡️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀: Testing in real-world conditions reveals many unexpected challenges that might not be considered during development.
