APUA signs agreement with Seven Seas Water Group to expand water production. 💧 The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) and Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) have announced a 12-year Build-Own-Operate-Transfer agreement. 💧 SSWG will build two new seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plants, adding three million imperial gallons of daily drinking water capacity for Antigua. 💧 These plants will be near existing facilities at Ffryes Beach and Ivan Rodrigues, with Ffryes Beach expected to start production within seven months. 💧 Minister Melford Nicholas sees this as vital for meeting demand from tourism and economic growth, praising the partnership with SSWG. 💧 APUA's General Manager, John Bradshaw, emphasizes the need to address rising water demand due to climate change. 💧 CEO Henry Charrabé is excited about expanding water treatment plants with APUA to enhance local infrastructure and provide reliable Water-as-a-Service® in Antigua. 📄For more exclusive news in water industry follow the link 👇 https://lnkd.in/dAKqKc5P #Aqua_energy_expo_magazine

More than 10 Sydney beaches polluted with oil products, source of leak not found. The Australian Coast Guard cannot find the source of oil pollution of the coast near Sydney. More than 10 beach areas near Sydney were polluted with oil products. Thousands of balls of resin, which are formed when oil comes into contact with garbage and water, were thrown out on them. The beaches had to be closed until the resin spheres were collected and disposed of, and the Coast Guard continues to search for the source of this pollution. However, citizens have not yet grasped the seriousness of this threat and continue to visit the coast, believing that the actions of municipal authorities are overcautious, TASS writes. This is not the first time that oil balls have appeared in Australia. What I learned from my short trip to Greece about its water market is: 1️⃣ Greece has around 10 million people, but they have many good water companies and experts. 2️⃣ Greece's commitment to advanced water treatment technologies, with investments increasing annually by 15%. 3️⃣ The booming demand from key industries like pharmaceuticals, textiles, and food processing drives a robust 10% growth in the industrial wastewater treatment market each year. 4️⃣ The surge in public-private partnerships, increasing by 20%, showcases a thriving environment for collaborative ventures to enhance Greece's water infrastructure. 5️⃣ In Greece, 230 utilities manage water and sanitation services.
