Come explore the Play to Learn Resource Hub with us on October 9 in a webinar with INEE! The Play to Learn Resource Hub is a freely available set of early childhood development (ECD) program materials, print and multi-media, monitoring tools, technical resources, and research that we curated for fellow practitioners who work with young children (and their families) affected by conflicts and crisis. (https://bit.ly/3ZH8nGr) The Play to Learn project had a large scope, serving over 2.5 million people with direct services and reaching 31 million children with educational broadcast over the past six years with support from the LEGO Foundation. Here’s a peek at four of the contextually-driven programs we’ll profile next week: (1) The Be Ready, Be Strong Program provides activities, workbooks, and materials to children and caregivers in Turkey and Syria to support wellbeing and development in emergency situations. (https://lnkd.in/gpESXGmT) (2) The Gindegi Goron Program uses a hybrid approach to reach Rohingya and Bangladeshi families with integrated ECD, health, and nutrition content. (https://lnkd.in/gw9tQ2QJ) (3) The Humanitarian Play Labs use play to preserve cultural heritage for Rohingya children, in addition to supporting holistic early childhood development. The curriculum also has the flexibility to include new topic areas like climate change awareness and appreciation for the environment. (https://lnkd.in/gaqNrjSn) (4) The Semillas de Apego Program uses playful media as a tool to help caregivers practice emotional regulation skills with their children at home, in between sessions that provide caregivers with the knowledge and skills they need to rebuild nurturing relationships.
