On November 10, each year it is the World Science Day for Peace and Development! Like we do at OC Habitats, this day highlights the important role of science in society and how it is important for the public to engage. It also explains to us how relevant science is in our own daily lives. It has four goals each year that are the basis of why it is significant. This day is used to strengthen, promote, renew, and draw attention to public awareness of the role of science in a peaceful and more sustainable manner for our society. It is meant to reach nationally and internationally to inform us on the dominance of science in our world, while trying to also renew the commitment that is needed to benefit our societies. World Science Day for Peace and Development is also needed to express the significance of the daily challenges that are being faced in the scientific world. This year's theme for the World Science Day for Peace and Development is, “Building trust in science”. It is important to have trust in our scientific expansions. With trust from our society, scientists are more able to operate in ways where they know that the community will be supportive of the scientific outcomes.
