"Go for it, but be prepared for lots of problems like acts pulling out last minute etc, pressure to #promote & never ever give up it’s worth it for the buzz you get when you pull it off. You will get rejected for trying to support others, you will get naysayers & you will get people saying you can’t possibly achieve it. What you’ve got to do is say watch me, be determined, have passion in what you believe in, & be driven enough & determined enough to prove people wrong. Stick to your beliefs & find like-minded people for support & stick with them, none of us succeeds alone but we can try even better especially if we’re together. The more people like that you get on your side the more likely you’ll have successful events. I don’t believe in running down competition we are all part of the grassroots #community and should all help each other out, other #promoters should all help and support each other especially if they are based at the same #venue, as it all helps each other’s to be successful. A busy venue equals a busy #event." https://lnkd.in/eXui_h2d

Systemizing your small business so you don't have to work so hard. You're a business OWNER, not an EMPLOYEE, start acting like it.
More people need to know RMR (Respect My Region). IMO: they are the top source of cannabis news. The stories they write focus on PEOPLE and the future of cannabis. With a huge spotlight on the Legacy of the industry. Past / Future / Human focused. What else do you even need? Go Follow RMR. They're good people.
🌟 #IndustrySpotlight goes to Respect My Region In 2011, Respect My Region embarked on a mission to uplift urban culture across the Pacific Northwest. Fast forward to 2017, we proudly clinched their first accolade from Seattle Weekly and organized numerous vibrant events spanning the West Coast. Since 2018, Respect My Region has ventured beyond the confines of the Pacific Northwest, embracing and showcasing music and cannabis culture from around the world. Know someone or something we should support and cover? Shoot them an email at info@respectmyregion.com or visit their website https://lnkd.in/gNVHUE5g Thank you Mitch Pfeifer, Joey Brabo, and the rest of the Respect My Region team! Let's keep elevating cultures together! 💫 #UrbanCulture #Music #CannabisCulture #RespectMyRegion #CommunityBuilding #cannabis #business

Take a holistic approach to your Community Event Calendar. Your community is all about Music In The Park, who is running for your County Seat, and everything in between. Be the one place where people can see it all And...it's not Facebook, so you don't get any of the political comments 😜 #oneplace #communityevent #eventcalendar #communities #events #buildingstrongcommunities

I'm a human helping other humans make meaningful connections on LinkedIn | Musician, Composer, Arranger | Cool Creative
What a rush it was to take the stage at Washington’s during FoCoMX! I couldn’t see everyone in the house, but felt the energy — and the love! Thanks so much to Fort Collins Musicians Association and Washington’s for having us. We had a wonderful time (as did the audience, as I keep hearing good things from the community). When I first conceptualized the FoCo Motown Revue, I just wanted to get onstage while celebrating Classic Motown. Once I saw the overwhelming response to our shows, it became apparent that the band needs to be an ongoing concern. This is a 10-piece band. To keep it going, I realized that I’d need to take inspiration from Duke Ellington: “There is nothing to keeping a band together. You simply have to have a gimmick, and the gimmick I use is to pay them money!” So, I had to ultimately arrive at the conclusion that the band has to be run as a business (a side business, but a business nonetheless). That means defining who we are, what we’re about and how we’re going to engage with our audience. It also means building relationships in new spaces — especially that of corporate events. So, If you know of any event planners looking create compelling experiences with classic R&B, hit me up. #music #musicbusiness #fortcollins #corporateevents #eventplanning

URGENT: 100 Strangers Needed in 24 Hours — Minneapolis creatives, I need your help. Hello LinkedIn. It's Liban (lee~ben) here, and I'm reaching out with an urgent message. As the founder of Strangers Meeting Strangers (SMS), I find myself in a situation where I need to be fully transparent with our community. We're facing a challenge, and I take full responsibility for it. Tomorrow night, we're hosting our second non-government affiliated Town Hall at Theatre in the Round — an event that's grown from a simple idea of two strangers meeting on stage to becoming the largest intentional gathering of creatives in our city. But here's the truth: We've planned for 200 attendees, and with just 24 hours to go, we're only halfway there (100/200). This is on me. I waited too long to reach out, believing that word would spread naturally. I was wrong, and now I'm turning to you — our community — for support. Picture this: A 360-degree theater filled with artists, musicians, and creatives from all walks of life. The air is electric with anticipation. Strangers are becoming collaborators. Real, raw conversations are unfolding. The soul-stirring melodies of The Cherry Pit are washing over the crowd. Tickets available here: https://lu.ma/6518k4tt Why Attend? (1) Real Talk: Engage in honest conversations about money, purpose, and the challenges of a creative life. (2) Live Music: Experience the beautiful, soul-stirring melodies of The Cherry Pit. (3) Community Building: Be part of a movement shaping the future of our creative community. (4) Networking: Connect with fellow creatives who understand your journey. This isn't just another networking event. It's a chance to speak your truth and be heard, to shape the future of our creative community. If you're reading this, I want you to please consider yourself personally invited. And if you can't make it, I'd like you to share this message. Your single share could bring the person who changes the trajectory of our creative scene. Tickets available here: https://lu.ma/6518k4tt From one stranger to another, thank you. #StrangersMeetingStrangers #SMS #MinneapolisCreatives #TownHall #CommunityBuilding
