As educational attainment rises and professional opportunities expand across Southeast Asia, more couples are making the decision to delay starting families or to have fewer children. This shift reflects a significant cultural transformation, leading to declining birth and fertility rates throughout the region. In Malaysia, the evidence of change over the past fifty years is profound. The fertility rate has plummeted from an average of 4.9 children per woman in 1970 to just 1.6 in 2023. Similarly, in Vietnam, the birth rate has declined to 15.141 births per 1,000 people in 2023, marking a 2.33% decrease from the previous year. Singapore's scenario also highlights this regional trend. Despite government incentives aimed at boosting fertility, the fertility rate in this highly educated city-state remains stubbornly low, around 1.1 in recent years, well below the replacement level of 2.1 that is needed to sustain the population. This evolving dynamic speaks to a broader narrative of choice and planning, reflecting how couples are reshaping their futures and family structures in today’s changing world. Join us as Thomson Medical Group gathers global fertility experts at the upcoming Thomson Fertility Conference on 11 May. Together, we are spearheading discussions on advancements in reproductive medicine to confront pressing challenges in the field. From exploring The Role of Reproductive Surgery in the Era of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) to Updates on In Vitro Maturation (IVM), gain insights from unique Southeast Asian perspectives presented by esteemed global fertility experts. * CLINICAL TRIAL RECRUITING NOW * MALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED !!! PLEASE SHARE Intermittent fasting is an emerging field with a growing range of health benefits including weight loss, better blood sugar regulation, improved hormone levels and a healthier gut. As time restricted eating (TRE) has a positive effect on many parts of the body, including female reproductive systems, there is potential that it could influence sperm production, however, this has not yet been investigated. This trial involves intermittent fasting for a period of 3 months and assessing sperm quality before and after to look for any changes. We would provide two free of charge semen analysis, plus MiOXSYS testing for seminal oxidative stress which would usually cost more than £500. https://lnkd.in/eTJBpqp8 Find out more from BCRM Fertility TRIAL LEAD SCIENTIST and SENIOR EMBRYOLOGIST JEN NISBETT by emailing research@bcrm.clinic or take a look at our website blog and information leaflet https://lnkd.in/e9a6KW4d #maleinfertility #researchanddevelopment #research #malefertility #menshealthawareness #timerestrictedeating #project #volunteersneeded #SpermHealth #spermtesting

Recurrent implantation failure after transferring euploid embryos while affecting less than 5% of individuals undergoing fertility treatments, is a particularly challenging condition for clinicians to manage. This is why search for solutions to recurrent implantation failure is a key focus of our work at #IVIRMAGlobal. 🌿 Through artificial intelligence and transcriptomic analysis, we have developed algorithms capable of identifying risk profiles preventively, thereby improving the prognosis of our treatments. With these advances, we are steadily moving closer to precision reproductive medicine, enabling us to personalize treatments from the very first attempt. 🔬 #ImplantationFailure #Research #IVIRMAGlobal #ReproductiveMedicine #Fertility #Innovation
