Oddbox is proud to join forces with Too Good To Go, the British Retail Consortium, and over 30 leading UK companies in co-signing an open letter calling for mandatory public food waste reporting. Addressed to the Secretary of State for @DefraGovUk , this collective effort aims to combat the alarming reality that over a third of all food produced goes to waste, costing the UK economy £21.8 billion annually and contributing an estimated 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. We believe that mandatory reporting is crucial to driving meaningful change and fostering sustainability across the industry. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/enNfPXkX
Great to see companies collaborating to tackle food waste! I actually suggested a similar approach to another company during a university project, proposing a partnership with Oddbox to reduce CO2 emissions and waste. It's incredibly rewarding to witness this idea being put into action by Too Good To Go now! 😊
Such a positive move, love what both these companies do so great to see them partnering up to hold industry to account
Great to see this collaboration!

7moMuch needed. It's shocking that a third of all food is wasted while millions go hungry. My daughter has a part time job at a food company, and they don't donate perfectly good food to local charities/homeless, or allow employees to take it home. Instead, it ends up in the bin, with threats against those who try to prevent it. Does that make any sense?
