What a great few days at the The Alan Turing Institute and National Physical Laboratory (NPL) inaugural AI Standards Hub Global Summit in London. Our AI experts and CEO, Susan Taylor Martin joined global leaders to explore the role of standards in AI governance, fostering international collaboration, and innovation in AI standardization. We were delighted to have been part of a workshop to improve business regulation in Kenya, held last week in Nairobi. In partnership with Kenya Bureau of Standards, Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS), UKAS, the Ministry of Investments,Trade and Industry, and the British High Commission Nairobi, the three-day workshop addressed challenges faced by businesses and provided tools for a smarter, more efficient business environment, to attract investment, create jobs and support economic growth. Daniel Mansfield, Head of Policy Engagement, BSI, shared knowledge with Kenyan officials on the value of international standards, how they can help boost trade and led the conversation on their use in policymaking.
