NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's and Lockheed Martin's "X-59’s boom-dampening technology redefines the feasibility of commercial supersonic travel over land." Combine that with SiriNor's true zero emission supersonic jet turbine, and perhaps we can see a return of commercial supersonic aviation - and this time in a sustainable manner.

Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) could soon become a part of the urban landscape in the near future, but how will they integrate with our cities? We set out to answer this question by collaborating with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to study the acoustic impacts of future aircraft. Our work was recently recognized by NASA at the Langley Research Center Awards for exceptional collaboration to develop and deploy a new capability to collect data on human response to aviation noise. As part of NASA's human response testing effort, we created a platform that allowed an individual to participate in aviation noise studies from the comfort of their own home. The platform, accessible through web browser, emulated the process NASA researchers used in their testing facility and provided a robust acoustic environment to accurately capture results. Described by NASA as "innovative, forward-leaning, and crucial to providing [the agency] with a richer capability for many future tests," the platform is able to greatly expand the number of participants for these studies. #UAM #UrbanAirMobility #Digital #Acoustics #Aviation

Prototyping in Space The United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has always been at the forefront of technology. NASA has created a development program called the Game Changing Development Program, which exemplifies how innovation can drive progress in manufacturing. This program focuses on cutting-edge technologies and novel approaches to rapid prototyping. NASA has consistently been one of the greatest international proponents of new technologies. However, because their technologies often need to function in space, where any failure could lead to catastrophic consequences, they have established very rigorous standards. The standards that NASA developed for aerospace have influenced the private sector in aircraft manufacturing and other areas of prototyping. For example, in a recent collaboration with an aerospace client, we created a prototype that could withstand extreme conditions. By applying the same principles found in NASA’s program, we were able to deliver a product that exceeded their expectations in performance and durability. The key to excellence in rapid prototyping is not to follow trends but to create them. That’s our mission at HLH Rapid. Are you familiar with NASA’s Game Changing Development Program and its rapid prototyping guidelines? #Aerospace #Prototyping #Manufacturing #Innovation #HLHRapid
