27,000 Americans die by suicide using a gun. More gun deaths due to suicide than gun deaths due to murder, about 20% more. We should all be outraged & want TWO things from our politicians. (1) More resources put towards mental health awareness & therapy. It is still a stigma in the US if a person calls out for help and goes to therapy, especially for males. (2) Better gun-control legislation. We say our gun laws are already too restrictive. Not so, they are not comprehensive enough. 16 states and DC have laws requiring guns stored locked, only about 30% of the nation. Ask your politician if they have helped pass legislation for more comprehensive laws. If not, don’t vote for him or her. please HELP! Exactly what I am trying to achieve in community education!!

$20 per day trackers are a very small price to pay to save women’s and children’s lives. Why do they need to be leased? Why can’t they be purchased by the government and a specialist intimate partner terrorism monitoring taskforce be set up? Borrow some of the billions allocated to terrorism monitoring. Gun laws may help but he was there to murder these women he would have likely used other means for vengeance. He was punishing his ex wife for leaving him. The same reason these dangerous men murder their children as we saw last week. These murders are premeditated pay back. They are preventable with early identification of coercive control and tracking and monitoring the perpetrator. We know these dangerous men have no empathy, no conscience and no remorse from the heinous abuse they inflict through intimate partner terrorism. These are not men with anger management or addiction issues. These are coercive controllers. These men are psychopaths, sociopaths, narcissists. When will survivors of coercive control be seen and heard? We know what we needed but didn’t receive. We can implement change quickly. We need the political will. Changes to gun laws are a start but we can’t stop men buying knives, petrol, blunt instruments or using their bare hands.
