🌻 🌻 🌻 First of all, wish all of you good health in Dragon Boat Festival. 📖 📖 📖 Here is a poem from the Tang Dynasty period for appreciation as below: Dragon Boat Festival 🦖 🛶 Where did the Dragon Boat Festival come from? It has been rumored throughout history that it was Qu Yuan; It's ridiculous that if it's big, the mighty Miluo River, But it cannot wash away Qu Yuan's injustice. Historical and Cultural Significance The festival has a history of over two thousand years and is associated with various legends and traditions. One of the most popular legends is that it commemorates the death of Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet and minister who drowned himself in 278 BCE to protest against corruption in the imperial court. Villagers are said to have raced out in boats to save him or recover his body, which is believed to be the origin of dragon boat racing. Traditional Activities The Dragon Boat Festival is marked by several traditional activities: Dragon Boat Racing: This is the most iconic activity, where teams paddle long, narrow boats decorated with dragon heads and tails. The races are a major spectacle and are believed to have originated from the attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. Eating Zongzi: These are sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, traditionally thrown into rivers as offerings to the Dragon God and to prevent fish from eating Qu Yuan's body. Drinking Realgar Wine: This wine is believed to ward off evil spirits and diseases. Hanging Mugwort and Calamus: These plants are hung on doors to repel insects and evil spirits. #manufacturing #innovation #semiconductor #Europe #Poem

The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known as Duanwu Festival. It's said that it is to commemorate a Chinese patriotic poet, Qu Yuan. The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to place, but there are some common in them. First, the most famous and great tradition is holding Dragon Boat races. Nowadays dragon boat races have been an annual popular sport activity among people. In addition, making and eating Zongzi—a dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves—is also a popular custom during this day. It can be made by many kinds of stuffing. These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years, but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese culture. https://lnkd.in/gjfrGAgP #titanium #ti #titaniumbar #titaniumwire #titaniumplate #titaniumtube #titaniumsheet #alloy

A Marketer's Guide To A Tourism Dream: Safia and VisitCanberra's YouTube Collaboration In today's digital world, exploring opportunities between music and tourism bodies is a good shout. On Wednesday night I was lucky enough to see Canberra’s favourite band perform, not at my local but at the local Palace Electric. Created in partnership with Visit Canberra, we watched a recorded performance of a SAFIA set from their new album "A Lover's Guide To A Lucid Dream". I swapped the popcorn out for a Coast Ale and watched the sunrise set recorded in the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. This was a small local premiere, the ultimate intended audience: 2 billion monthly users of Youtube. Here are a few thoughts on how such collaborations are a win/win for both parties: Authenticity: Musicians have the ability to craft soundscapes that evoke emotions of a particular locale. Visit Canberra has provided viewers an authentic glimpse into the bushland of Canberra. This stunning result will inspire wanderlust and connection. Culture: As sons of Canberra, there are no better ambassadors to highlight the strength of Canberra’s arts and culture scene than Safia. This association of Nature and Culture are powerful additions to the established attributes of the ACT like National Institutions and World Class Hospitality. Engagement and Outreach: YouTube boasts over 2 billion logged-in monthly users, making it a prime platform for reaching global audiences. By partnering with musicians to create engaging content, tourism departments can expand their reach and engage with diverse demographics. The power of collaboration: In this post-covid sitch where the arts have been wounded and tourists are clamouring to explore, this an effective win/win for all the parties involved. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement that can aid in the recovery efforts of both industries. As technology continues to advance, immersive experiences will become increasingly prevalent. By embracing partnerships that highlight authenticity, tourism efforts can stay ahead of the curve and offer unique experiences that appeal to younger travellers. Well done Tara Cheyne & Safia.
