Now in its 17th year, this program aims to showcase the exceptional work state DOTs are undertaking daily. Their efforts enhance the quality of life, drive economic development, leverage innovative technologies, programs, and processes, and ultimately foster safer communities. Sponsored by AASHTO, AAA, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the competition this year features a new safety category and increases the number of projects a state DOT can nominate to four (instead of the traditional three). Each state DOT may submit a total of four entries (bonus points are allotted to states that submit three different projects–one per category).
