Are You “Nice” or “Kind”? Don’t Confuse “Nice” for “Kind” as a leader. 💞 Kind* is the courage and ability to say and do what empowers others, even if it is not what they want to hear. It involves staying authentic, true, and empathetic in the “contact” with them through the process, even if they get uncomfortable and don’t like you for that truth. —> It is about “Them” - the true leadership in empowering them even if at the expense of your own discomfort in staying truthful. 😧 ‘Nice* is saying what they want to hear so you are liked, even if your “niceness” promotes their helplessness, confusion, and ultimate “stuckness”. —> It is about “You”- wanting and feeling comfortable in “being such a nice person” even if at the expense of their growth.
