⚡ From #olivoENERGY, our colleagues Ernesto Santos Vallejo and Niccolò Fattirolli, attended the final event of the #ReDREAM project in which we have participated with other partners such as: Soulsight · Humanities & Business, RIMOND, Creara, Energy Experts, Energetica Coop, ESCI-UPF, Zelena energetska zadruga (ZEZ), OMI - Polo Español (OMIE), Stemy Energy, UBFC - Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Timelex, Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE, Bath & West Community Energy, Fondazione Bio-distretto della Via Amerina e delle Forre and Zabala Innovation Spain. At this event and through the demo leaders in Spain, Croatia, UK and Italy, the conclusions and barriers encountered in the ReDREAM project have been shared:   ✅ It has been demonstrated that ReDREAM allows for the effective communication of the message of demand side flexibility among passive consumers through energy communities, thus fulfilling the objective of delivering the message quickly, simply, and effectively.   ✅ Additionally, it has been confirmed that the use of flexibility by consumers is profitable and accessible, allowing them to take an active role in the energy transition by monitoring and controlling their energy consumption.   ✅The project has successfully overcome the barrier of leveraging existing infrastructure and becoming part of the energy system. For example, through a mobile application, users can manually control the energy consumption of devices such as electric vehicles, washing machines, and dishwashers, adjusting them according to the availability of renewable energy produced.   ✅ Furthermore, graphical and practical results regarding the challenges encountered during the project, including the recruitment of potential users, equipment installation, and data handling, have been shared. These results will serve as invaluable learning for future projects in the field.   🤗 ⚡ 💚 We would like specially to thank all participants for their invaluable contribution to this European project. Their participation and commitment have been essential to the success of this initiative, which aims to empower consumers and make them an integral part of the electrical system. By allowing them to control their energy consumption habits, save money, and reduce CO2 emissions, together we have taken a significant step towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
