The only difference between a reptile and a mammal is reptiles to which chicken belong having descended from the biological class reptilia and the flying dinosaurs within that class which became the modern birds after the great asteroid extinction about 60 million years ago is that reptiles incubate their eggs after laying them, and mammals incubate them inside the womb before delivering a live infant. We eat both the chicken and the egg in the food chain. Driving our food ecosystem into extinction means by negative systemic feedback driving ourselves eventually into extinction. Abortion is a choice as well as discarding human embryos. This choice is inherently immoral but we make many immoral choices which other animals do not make such as among many including aborting their pregnancies and going to war, for example, liberal or conservative. Morality is about doing that which is in the interest of our continued survival by ensuring our species perpetuation, ethics being the practice of morality. Other animals, within their own biological capacity, strive to perpetuate their species within their ecosystems. Civilization is about restraint. And this means ending the war on ourselves to end our species. The issue of In Vitro fertilization (IVF) #nobelprize, as with abortion, war and the how of war, therefore, comes down to restraint in exercising this immoral choice, given our big brain which is our only tool of survival and our species perpetuation in our earthly habitat. No. It is not about theocracy. It is about deploying science and technology in the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.
