We are inescapably on track to wipe out 99% of all global #coral. We need a coordinated, global, fully funded response along the lines of war production, right now. In the #bluecarbon world, we’re all trying to promote action among leadership to restore the ocean and reverse #globalwarming. Here’s some angles that might come in handy. A global conglomerate worth almost $10 trillion and employing half a billion people - shut down forever by a hideous cabal of fossil fuel emitters and government in less than ten years? Infuriating. Act now. What about - a quarter of all fish species will diminish to the point of extinction, including stock fish, decimating our dwindling sources of marine protein, throwing millions into famine? Troubling. Act now. Or, remember the time we banned plastic straws because sea turtles? Sea turtles will no longer exist. Act now. The coral story. It’s not a concerning effect of global warming. It’s an urgent emergency. This isn’t a decline in property values. It’s your house on fire. All our houses on fire. In an emergency, humans are magnificent. Let’s be magnificent. Right now.
