In a diverse and multicultural society, people naturally want to get along. However, they still need a way to regulate their relationships. It's like a dance where everyone needs to know the steps. In the United Kingdom, for example, people come together based on shared values and common goals: I’m thinking cricket or football😊. When people are open and share their wins and losses in public places, something magical happens. They build trust, foster understanding, and create a sense of community. It's in the parks, and public squares where people from different backgrounds connect and find common ground. This kind of openness allows for natural regulation of relationships, promoting harmony and cooperation in a multicultural society. ☆A primary inspiration, in my world as a little girl, my beloved aunt, miss Julie Flahaven☆ I looked up to Julie. But oddly enough, the world always seemed so strangely fixated on her challenges, something entirely puzzling to my younger self. Truly, all my younger-self could see, was a brilliant young lady. A model of utmost grit and radiating *contagious* positivity. Thinking stereotypically, a common denominator of society's esteemed entrepreneurs, is dropping out of college. Could this perhaps be the ordinary thinking of our FORBES superhero's, who have adapted a philosophy, prioritizing the fostering of their current strengths & interest-based skill sets, strategic to achieving personal objectives, as an elitist? The alternative, allocating a majorty of energy towards becoming the most rounded contributor of society, evidently seems to breed a recipe for average. "Well-rounded" has become a term used to describe the norm of a middle-class, FTE, who will not retire prior to turning 60. To be honest, this is hardly ~ FORBES-level ~ inspiring. My beloved aunt, miss Julie Flahaven, an award winning participant of the Special Olympics Track & Sprint competition, is an inspiring example of the special elixir of motivational support and its impact in driving strengthening of talents, in really anybody. Julie was fortunate to be blessed with the best in family. The Flahaven Family showered Julia with endless love, supported her in fostering her desired skills, mentored her through achieving her bright-eyed goals, and consistently reminded miss Julie; 'individualism ~ is sooooo much cooler than blending' ⭐ Let Julie's story & inspiring success ⭐ continually motivate & remind us; ♡ In fostering strengths - we breed winning, ♡ In focusing on weaknesses - We send ourselves spinning ♡ By Mentoring talents - We Introduce our inner brilliance There's never any wrong in improving challenge areas, but an important reminder; is to not loose sight of priority; mentoring & advancing all your proficiencies: ♡ skills, talents, interest, & creativity ♡ After just watching this video, as well as sharing an inspiring story highlighting my Aunt Julia, I want to circle back to my purpose in sharing this post with my community With utmost sincerity, I would like to take a moment to personally give a heartfelt thank you to the organization's stakeholders, and all who support the maintenance of the Special Olympics, globally 🗺 Your philanthropic efforts; ♡diligently drive sustainability, ♡ foster on-going growth of an unremarkable opportunity, ♡empower community, ♡& tenaciously de-stigmatize "disability" Thank you for all you do. ★You empowered Julie, ★You enlightened my younger-self & ✩continue to inspire me each day✩ ★Above all, you continue to impact the world's views regarding capability, from those with the label 'disability' If you haven't already ☞ the Special Olympic's Revolution of Inclusion

Humbled to have been invited to share some thoughts around team Performance and Diversity at European Training Foundation and Cedefop. Key messages: 1/ Professionalism is not a standard. We all have our individual views of what it should be. 2/ Diversity is everywhere whether you like it or not. It is visible, invisible and acquired and drives performance when well managed. 3/ Our brain has to be “tamed” as it would be inclined to come to quick conclusions, interpretations. We are still wired for survival. 4/ There are strategies that we can practice as leaders for that matter.
