In The Sales Acceleration Formula, Mark Roberge teaches you to use a weighted scoresheet in your selective process. The screenshot illustrates the exact model Mark shared. Lmk if you want a copy. Behind the redaction are the traits and criteria we determined we need for this role. In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Daniel Kahneman showed that simple models are proven more effective than humans at predicting future performance, time and time again. There's a lot more to it, but I've taken this approach to heart for nearly 10 years to great success. I've also paid the price for ignoring it! While it's just one part of the process, it's a pillar of sorts. Excited about the process Barbara R. and I are running nowadays. Maybe a talk about the process in the future? Ps. We're recruiting for a Brazil-based, Sr. Tech Recruiter with People Business Partner experience. Fluent in 🇺🇸 and 🇧🇷.

Real-time A2A payments are at an exciting time globally, but Australia’s market dynamics and the functionality of PayTo make it a stand out region. 🔐 87% of Australian shoppers agree security is a leading factor in payment method choice - with authorisation at bank, and no chance of data being hacked from the merchant; PayTo is a clear winner ❌ Linked to security; Card-Not-Present fraud in Australia made up ~90% of all card fraud in 2022. With authorisation in a user's bank application, PayTo can help merchants reduce this cost (all while receiving money instantly!) 💵 Prevalence of surcharging at checkouts creates a clear pain point for shoppers (especially at POS) - with the lack of intermediaries (unlike card) PayTo offers a low cost or even free option at checkout 💡 Wide functionality of PayTo: one-off payments, one-click payments (unique to Volt) and recurring payments make PayTo a contender at checkout for a wide number of use cases. Platforms like Revolut, Monzo Bank are using sweeping VRPs to great effect in the UK to get funds on platform quickly & securely. Volt's one-click offering in Australia offers the same experience Stake Superhero Tiger Brokers Australia CMC Markets ANZ 👀 Exciting role to help Volt drive this change down under. Reach out if you have any questions or want to learn more.
We’re ramping up our operations in Australia, and we need an exceptional Senior Business Development Manager to help us 🇦🇺 Interested? Know someone who might be? Check out the JD 👇 https://lnkd.in/etvKedaK #voltology #paymentscareers

💬 I asked Shelby Bruce, Director of Midmarket Sales, about the advice she would give to herself on day 1 at TechnologyAdvice! Here's what she said: 📝 "Embrace continuous learning and focus on understanding the problems we solve for our customers. Building relationships is key, so be curious, and don't be afraid to ask questions. 📚 Learn quickly from every experience, and stay resilient—success comes from persistence, curiosity, and always adding value. 💡 Lastly, don't be afraid to fail—every mistake is a chance to grow." 🚀 I'm hiring a Digital Account Executive in the Philippines 🇵🇭 for Shelby's team! Helping foreign companies start sales in the USA │ CEO at USA Launching Pad │ Senior Advisor to McKinsey │ Lecturer at UC Berkeley
I see this common mistake all the time: Hiring a local leader to expand your sales into the US. And it turns out they lack the right skillset, or their plan doesn’t work. Some real examples I’ve seen in the last 12 months: 1. One client sells direct to businesses in Europe. Through our program, they found channel partners work best in the US. 2. One client hired the #2 salesperson from a competitor to start sales in the US. But that salesperson was missing the skills of building a structure and adapting sales methods to fit the US culture. 3. One client uses flat, upfront pricing in Europe. In the US, they had to switch to monthly subscription pricing. Americans prefer operating expenditures over capital expenditures. You have to do your research first. Don’t hire and hope that person has a plan. Make your plan before hiring. Validate your plan with data. And then hire the best person to execute it. P.S: Here's a pic of European founders working with my co-founder Matt DiMarsico and me in San Francisco to validate their plans for the US.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of job descriptions. They're usually just a bunch of fancy words thrown together, missing the real point of the job. When we start looking for a new candidate for a role, we don't just ask for a list of duties and responsibilities. Instead, we like to get a bit more results-driven. Imagine you're sitting down with your new hire a year from now, and they've absolutely nailed it. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯'𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘱 3 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴? We need to see some real results. Something concrete would be perfect: * Our global customers are pushing us to expand internationally. We need to hire experienced sales executives in retail for Colombia and Mexico. * The Sales Executives should collaborate effectively with headquarters to maximize our current client leads. * The sales executives must have strong relationships with local retailers and actively seek out new leads. These are real responses from a recent search we did. Our client wanted someone who could not only follow up on leads but also find new leads through their connections. Of course, the commission was a great bonus for those who wanted to grow with the company. We recently found great fits for this client who wanted to expand their business internationally in the first quarter of 2024. As we're getting closer to making that hire, it's exciting to see another story of global ambition playing out. #BeyondJobDescriptions #GlobalTalent #HiringSuccess #InternationalExpansion
