We’ve always prided ourselves on our pricing model. But what if we shook things up a bit? I'm curious: What are your thoughts on occasional price reductions? Do they make a service or product more appealing to you, or not at all? We’re experimenting with a wholesale reduction for the next 2 weeks - 10% off on all snacks & drinks. In all transparency, this initiative is part of our strategy to boost this year's revenue in the final weeks, a period traditionally lower for wholesale orders. It's a new approach for us, and I'm eager to see how it resonates with you: > How do you view temporary price adjustments? > Does a special offer make you feel more valued as a customer? I’m all ears and eager to learn 🙏 💬 Share your feedback in the comments. #CustomerFeedback #PricingStrategy #JustBite Perkier Foods Ltd I B Corp™ Food2Smile

AFFI recently partnered with AlixPartners to create a how-to playbook for sales success in frozen food. One takeaway: brands and grocers should investigate value-conscious consumers. Frozen shoppers are continuing to seek out value due to a difficult macro environment, with the dollar and discount channels increasingly meeting these needs. Tailoring strategies (products, pack sizes, pricing) to these customer groups will be important as overall share continues to migrate. Learn more >> https://lnkd.in/gqe5XJ5k

You may have seen these meal combinations offered at many outlets, which include various food items such as a main dish, side, and beverage for a single price. We often opt for these combos instead of purchasing individual items because of the perceived value and convenience they provide. This strategy to attract customers is known as Bundled Pricing. But why does it seem so attractive from both sides? Here are a few interesting aspects: • Value Perception: Customers feel they are getting more for their money, which can drive higher sales volumes. • Simplified Decision Making: Bundles make it easier for customers to choose, reducing decision fatigue. • Increased Sales of Lower-Margin Items: Bundling can help sell items that might not be as popular on their own. • Inventory Management: Bundling helps in managing inventory by promoting the sale of items that need to be moved quickly. It is interesting to study how various retail segments use pricing strategies to influence their customers in their favor.

Today's Public Service Announcement: if your system inventory is off, the best demand forecasts won't help you. I went shopping at my local supermarket this morning, and She Who Must Be Obeyed desired oatmeal. Unfortunately, both the organic and the conventional varieties were out of stock. Store staff found that per the system inventory, there were 15 packages of the organic and 30 of the conventional variety on that shelf. They weren't. And no, neither was anything in the backroom. Product had just been delivered this morning, but of course, since the inventory had thought there were still 15 or 30 packages available, the automatic replenishment hadn't triggered an order. So, people: please make sure your inventories make sense. (And as customers, stop pilfering. She Who Must Be Obeyed does not take kindly to second-best alternatives.)

The average grocery trip takes 41 minutes! Even if you plan only to grab a few things, how often do you leave with more than expected? Grocery stores strategically place common items like milk at the back of the store to maximize time in-store and the number of things you buy. We all pick up an extra item or two on our way back from grabbing milk. What item(s) do you impulsively grab?
