Curious if you can get separate VA ratings for GERD and IBS? The answer is yes! As of May 19, 2024, veterans can now receive individual ratings for both conditions under the new Diagnostic Codes (DCs): DC 7206 for GERD and DC 7319 for IBS. For instance, you could be rated at 50% for GERD with esophageal stricture and acid reflux, and 20% for IBS. Previously, ratings for GERD and IBS were combined under broader codes and not separate, but that’s changed. This update allows more precise compensation based on the specific impacts of each condition. Got questions or need help with your VA rating?
