It reminded me of a time when, at the end of the month, my department was up against the wall trying to hit our bonus. We had fallen short the previous month by just one percentage point, and I was determined not to let that happen again. We relentlessly tracked sales throughout the month, but with just one week left, things looked dire. Yet, we refused to give up. In the final push, we hit our target two hours before closing on the last day! It was a total team effort, and I couldn’t have been prouder of my team. I made sure to show my appreciation because it was their resilience and determination that got us over the finish line. The same resilience the Falcons showed—tying up the game in the final seconds of regulation and then winning in overtime—is what it takes to succeed in sales. It’s about staying focused, adapting when things don’t go as planned, and never giving up.
