HOW AWS INTERNET GATEWAY WORKS To allow public traffic from the internet to access your VPC, you attach an internet gateway to the VPC. An internet gateway is a connection between a VPC and the internet. You can think of an internet gateway as being similar to a doorway that customers use to enter a coffee shop. Without an internet gateway, no one can access the resources within your VPC.

Until recently, I hadn't given much consideration to AWS Graviton instances, typically opting for Intel-based ones. However, after conducting some practical benchmark tests on our platform in the past few weeks, we observed that AWS Graviton instances resulted in a 10% reduction in baseline CPU usage and improved response times. This weekend was the weekend of the migration and its always an amazing moment when you sit back and watch the platform orchestrate itself from one complete set of infrastructure to another a true testament to our platforms capability, resilience, and availability. The performance enhancements for our platform are undeniable, and AWS Graviton has now become our preferred choice for handling the workload.
