DoubleCloud is featured in an AWS case study for our effective use of AWS Graviton processors. While the market often favors Intel, we’ve shown that ARM-based solutions can excel when you have a trusted provider that handles complexity and technical risks on your behalf. 45% of our clients' clusters now run on ARM-based AWS Graviton processors, delivering a 15-20% improvement in price/performance. Check out the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/eUkd8HTd

Until recently, I hadn't given much consideration to AWS Graviton instances, typically opting for Intel-based ones. However, after conducting some practical benchmark tests on our platform in the past few weeks, we observed that AWS Graviton instances resulted in a 10% reduction in baseline CPU usage and improved response times. This weekend was the weekend of the migration and its always an amazing moment when you sit back and watch the platform orchestrate itself from one complete set of infrastructure to another a true testament to our platforms capability, resilience, and availability. The performance enhancements for our platform are undeniable, and AWS Graviton has now become our preferred choice for handling the workload.

m7i-flex is a brand-new instance type in Amazon Web Services (AWS). It is based on Intel Corporation(r) 4th Gen Xeon Processors that are listed as a 'lower cost variant of M7i'. This session, with Ravi Ananth Giri K, provides a deeper view of these instances and the tradeoffs of selecting this instance vs. a 'regular' instance.

This is a teaser for a series of videos coming out explaining our RDS Finder/Fixers. Database costs are an enormous portion of most AWS bills, so we have been laser focused on lowering it. Visit the CloudFix blog to learn more. Also, let me know what you think of the visual style. I love generative AI visuals, but sometimes the right tool for the job is sharpie markers, construction paper, and some 3d-printed visuals. And if you're interested in 3d printing, check out the Generative AI in 3D printing episode of AWS Made Easy with Jeff Barr and Rahul Subramaniam. https://lnkd.in/d2MMXtKC
From EBS volume type, Single-AZ vs Multi-AZ deployments, instance CPU (AMD, Intel, or AWS Graviton), instance size, etc, etc, RDS gives you choices! CloudFix helps you make cost-saving choices! We are releasing a new Finder/Fixer every week! Our February Finder/Fixers all focused on RDS cost optimization. Check out one of our recent blog posts where we help you do the cost/benefit analysis on single-AZ vs multi-AZ deployments: https://lnkd.in/grBdFXzq For your weekly AWS updates, follow Rahul Subramaniam and Stephen J.
