Physicians Association for Nutrition (PAN) International Foundation’s Post

March is National Nutrition Month in the USA. 🌱 Since this topic is important to us and our work is based on promoting healthy and sustainable eating, we can't keep quiet about it 😉 . This awareness month has a separate theme for each week of March, and it starts with: "Eat on a budget" 💰 . Sometimes it's hard to find affordable options, especially when switching to a healthier, whole food diet and with ongoing inflation. A whole food, plant-based diet can provide affordable, yet nutritious and delicious foods. Whole grains, legumes and vegetables are some of the most affordable, especially when bought in season and locally sourced. 🍇🥕 🥔 It is also more sustainable as it reduces water and land consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and much more. What's your tip for eating healthy on a budget? Write it in the comments below! 👇 #PlantBasedNutrition #NationalNutritionMonth #PANInternational #NutritionMatters #PlantBased

Sometimes buying frozen produce is cheaper than fresh produce, plus it lasts longer. 😊 Great tips!
