Fusilli..great at catching sauce. Originally made in Southern Italy by wrapping spaghetti around thin rods to dry, this readily available favourite is machine made in the UK. These spiral or corkscrew shaped pasta are shaped perfectly to hold the sauce in which they are served. I enjoy these with either a tomato sauce or spinach & mushroom sauce. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we thought we’d share a seductive steak recipe that you can pass on to your customers, perfect for that romantic Valentine’s dinner! Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze What you'll need: Two filet mignon steaks Salt and pepper Balsamic vinegar A dry red wine, such as cabernet sauvignon Directions: 1️⃣ Season the steaks: Sprinkle the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper. 2️⃣ Sear the steaks: Sear the steaks in a very hot pan until they're browned on both sides. 3️⃣ Make the sauce: Reduce the heat to medium-low, then add the vinegar and wine. Cover and cook for about four minutes. Flip the steaks, baste them with the sauce, and continue cooking for about four more minutes. 4️⃣ Serve the steaks: Place the steaks on two warmed plates. Spoon the sauce over the meat and serve immediately.
