Are recent grads really the problem—or is it how we hire? Companies say they value work ethic, coachability, and problem-solving, yet they still filter candidates by GPA and pedigree. That means great talent is getting overlooked. It’s time to rethink how we assess early-career candidates. More on why the hiring process needs to change in today's blog post. #Hiring #Recruiting #EarlyCareer #SkillsBasedHiring #MicroInternships https://hubs.li/Q033pLmm0

If you find good talents, hire them fast! Don’t wait for 2 weeks to get back to them. It only takes 1 other employer to say YES. Most companies aim to shortlist 3 candidates before making a hiring decision. What they don’t realize is, in order to do that, they need to triple their efforts and speak to at least 10 candidates. Then comes the need for interview scheduling, facing postponements or cancellations and by the time they reach the final candidate, the initial candidate may have accepted another job offer. Time is of the essence when it comes to attracting and retaining top talents. Responding promptly shows professionalism, respect and genuine interest. It not only enhances your employer brand but also increases the likelihood of securing the best candidates to build a winning team. There are so many employers out there looking for employees now. Recruiters, let’s talk due diligence! Got a call recently - for an entry level internship role. Here’s the kicker though, I’ve been working in full time roles for past 3 and half years. This is exactly the kind of outreach that damages credibility of recruiters. Talent acquisition is not just about cold calling and filling positions - It’s about creating impact by supporting the candidate’s journey and safeguarding the employer brand. Here’s why doing your homework matters: 🔹 First impressions matter and a sloppy approach reflects poorly on not just you but also on the company you represent. One mismatched call can lead to word-of-mouth that no brand wants. 🔹 Time is precious for candidates and recruiters alike. A misaligned outreach is a lose - lose situation. 🔹 Be mindful of the opportunity cost. If time is spent on mismatched outreach, we risk losing the opportunity to engage with the right talent for the role. ✨ The fix is easy - Be more intentional. Take 2 minutes to review and study the profile before hitting send or dialing that number. Recruitment isn’t a numbers game - play smart. #RecruitmentTips #CandidateExperience #EmployerBrand #TalentAcquisition

Gen Z Grads: Are You Ready for the Workforce? A recent survey from Beckers Hospital Review reveals some surprising (and concerning) stats about recent graduates entering the workforce: - 1 in 4 hiring managers believe new graduates are unprepared for job interviews. - 33% say they lack a strong work ethic. - 1 in 8 hiring managers plan to avoid hiring recent grads in 2025 entirely. - Over 50% of managers had to fire a recent graduate in 2024. Why is this happening? Many Gen Z graduates started their careers during the pandemic, with remote internships and limited opportunities for side-by-side mentorship. The result?
