At Mister Safety Shoes, caring isn’t just a word; it’s one of our core values. According to our latest Great Place To Work® survey, 90% of our team members believe that we genuinely care about each other. This culture of care is what makes MSS truly special. We believe in recognizing those who go above and beyond to make workdays better for everyone. That’s why we created the Shining Star Award, an employee-nominated honour spotlighted during our annual awards night. It’s our way of giving well-deserved recognition to those who live our value of caring every day. Don’t just take our word for it, hear it directly from one of our Shining Stars, Tina M. (Retail Sales Consultant) - ‘Taking a moment to say “hello” to my fellow workers each day and genuinely ask how they are, being happy for their joys and successes as well as empathetic to any worries they may be facing, lets my co-workers know that I care for them. I believe in celebrating the good and being there for them when things aren’t so good. Mister Safety Shoes people are my fellow workers, but more importantly my friends – my work family. When you work at a company that feels more like a big family – Life is just good’

At its core, The Tradition is a people-centered business. Our employees are the heartbeat bringing our mission of enriching older adults' lives to life each day. Their passion and dedication enable us to deliver the highest quality care and service. That is why employee recognition is a top priority in our culture. Taking time to celebrate achievements, big and small, has a profound impact. It boosts morale, engagement, and productivity. Recognition tells team members they matter. It shows we notice the effort they pour into their roles, even if it seems thankless. Appreciation fuels their sense of purpose. Whether through small shoutouts or formal award programs, we aim to honor our employees' contributions. It keeps them motivated to do their best work in service of others. Our people are everything, so we will continue finding meaningful ways to recognize them. Their commitment to our residents and each other is what makes our communities thrive. Are you celebrating this Friday? March 1st is Employee Appreciation Day, a time to celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of your staff. While you know how much they contribute to the success of your business, it doesn’t count unless you show and tell them. There are numerous benefits to expressing your gratitude: 1️⃣ Reduces Turnover: Grateful employees are more likely to stay with the company. 2️⃣ Fosters a positive work environment for co-workers, which clients notice! 3️⃣ Promotes employee well-being, reducing accidents & errors. 4️⃣ Increases engagement leads to improved systems/processes which is reflected in the bottom line. And there are so many ways to show appreciation on March 1st along with every other day of the year. Don’t let price stop you, here are ideas that cost next to nothing: 🟠 Appreciation notes: Handwritten thanks of a specific accomplishment or quality you appreciate. 🟠 Social media: Post a “Shout out” for each employee about their contributions to your company. 🟠 Suggestion box: If you value your employees’ opinions (and you should), set up a system to gather ideas and give feedback. Implement the suggestions when possible. 🟠 Puppy time: Have a local animal shelter/pet store to bring some puppies or kittens to the office – holding/petting animals releases stress and makes for a fun break from work. And if you want to spend a little to gain that good will, here are some low-cost ideas: ✅ Branded gear ✅ Breakroom treats ✅ Employee massages The most important part of showing appreciation is sincerity. Take the time and effort to acknowledge each employee’s specific contribution. You’ll like the positive workplace that you, your employees, and customers want to be a part of. Leave a comment on how you're showing thanks to your team.

#employeeappreciation is not about donuts in the breakroom, but sometimes they are part of it 🍩 Today kicks off Employee Appreciation Week here at BlueGrace Logistics! Appreciation can look differently to different people, so we try to tackle it in a multitude of ways: 💌 Organization-wide communications expressing our gratitude for the hard work our teams put forth every day 🍩 Surprise sweet treats this morning to kick off the week as a small token of our appreciation 👍🏼 Peer to peer appreciation across teams and locations via Microsoft Engage 👏🏼Team impact recognition via tv slides and email 🥪 Thank You Friday lunch, as we do every Friday. Fridays are a stressful and busy day in our business, so as a way to thank our employees, we provide lunch every Friday in case they can’t escape from their work loads for a hot meal off site. Our #leaders also play a key role in recognizing and appreciating their team members directly, as Gallup’s research shows the most memorable recognition comes from an employee’s manager (28%). So while employee appreciation is absolutely not about donuts or pizza in the breakroom, sometimes surprising your employees with something they will enjoy can be a small but great component of an appreciation strategy. #grateful #thankyouteam #employeeexperience

Sporting Sysco swag to start conversations on a Saturday! Balancing work and personal life is always a challenge, especially when you're passionate about what you do. There was a time when giving 100% at work meant my personal life took a back seat. But I've learned that flexibility isn't just a perk—it's a necessity. As a Human Resources Business Partner at Sysco North Dakota, I strive to represent the company whenever I can, whether I’m on the clock or off. This weekend, I'm out in the community, sporting my Sysco gear and sparking conversations about our commitment to quality and service. Engaging with our community and continually marketing our brand is part of what makes my role so fulfilling. It's not just about delivering food products to restaurants, schools, and healthcare facilities; it's about building relationships and showing that our dedication goes beyond the workplace. My job is never done, and that's okay. It's all about finding the balance and integrating our personal lives with our professional passions. How do you maintain your work-life balance? Let's start the conversation! #EmployeeEngagement #Leadership #HR #WorkLifeBalance #Sysco
