#EarthDay2024 – Reducing plastic waste and usage, isn’t something that will happen overnight. That won’t work. It’s about making small changes over a long period of time. For example: 🥤 Remove one single-use plastic from your weekly shopping every week 🥤 Recycle those plastics you must use 🥤 Don’t throw (any) trash on the ground, carry it with you until you find a bin. Little things, that If everyone did would make a huge difference. The Green Task Force and PATT Foundation have done litter picks, site clears and general tidying, and you’d be shocked (horrified) at the amount of single use plastic we’ve found (even in remote Welsh valleys). We only have one earth, so let’s look after it.

🌍 Happy Earth Day! 🌱 Did you know that every year, approximately 8 million metric tons of plastic end up in our oceans? 😱 As we celebrate Earth Day today, let's all commit to making a positive difference for our planet. Here are some simple yet impactful ways you can help: 1️⃣ Reduce plastic usage: Opt for reusable water bottles, bags, and containers to minimize single-use plastics. By doing so, you can help decrease the amount of plastic waste that pollutes our oceans and harms marine life. 2️⃣ Conserve water and energy: Small changes like fixing leaks, turning off lights when not in use, and using energy-efficient appliances can significantly reduce your carbon footprint and conserve precious resources. 3️⃣ Support local farmers markets: Buying locally grown produce not only supports your community but also reduces the environmental impact of transporting food long distances. Plus, it's fresher and healthier! 4️⃣ Volunteer for clean-up events: Get involved in local clean-up efforts to help keep our beaches, parks, and streets clean and beautiful. Every piece of litter removed makes a difference! Let's all do our part to protect our planet today and every day. Together, we can make a difference! 🌎💚 #EarthDay #Sustainability #ProtectOurPlanet

Our planet is drowning in plastic, and the consequences are dire. From choking marine life to contaminating our soil and water sources, plastic pollution is wreaking havoc on ecosystems worldwide. Today, on #EarthDay 2024, let's recommit ourselves to #PlanetVSPlastic. It's time to break free from our dependence on single-use plastics. We have already swapped out disposable water bottles for reusable ones; let's go on choosing products with minimal packaging and say no to plastic straws and bags. Every small change in our daily lives makes a big difference for our planet. On this Earth Day, let's envision a world where our oceans are clean, our forests are thriving, and our wildlife is flourishing. A world where the Planet triumphs over Plastic. #PlanetVsPlastic #EarthDay2024

Our planet is overwhelmed with plastic. Plastic waste doesn't decompose like other materials, leading to a staggering amount of pollution. Every minute, a massive amount of plastic finds its way into our oceans. Without intervention, the future of our planet is at risk. To turn the tide, we must reduce plastic use and push for systemic change. Recycle with Cycled and get rewarded for your efforts. Together, we can make a difference. 🔗 - www.cycled.no #EndPlasticWaste #EcoWarriors #ProtectThePlanet #SustainableSolutions #RecycleWithCycled

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭? They pollute our oceans, hurt animals, and even affect our health! 👉 So, what can we do? Robert Swan once said, "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩". We should take ownership of our actions, make conscious choices, and pledge to reduce plastic usage/ footprint. Say no to single-use plastic bags and opt for reusable ones instead! Wonder where your used plastic goes? Landfills, water bodies, and ignited fires create lifelong hazards for eco spaces. The act of recycling and revamping generates valuable resources for the community. Unfortunately, our community continues to overlook these essential processes, thereby exacerbating the problem of plastic waste. Choosing to generate new resources rather than fully optimising the existing ones will only serve to escalate the plastic count. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲- Join the challenge to reduce plastic. . #plasticfreejuly2024 #plasticfreemonth #plasticfree #plasticwaste #recycle #wasterecycling #dwmpl #deshwalwastemanagement #wasterecyclers #plasticwasterecycling

Time to Ditch the Plastic Bags! ♻️ Plastic bags might seem like a harmless convenience, but their impact on our planet is far from negligible. Here's a harsh reality: Made from Fossil Fuels: Most plastic bags are derived from non-renewable resources like oil and natural gas. Their production contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, fueling climate change. Landfill Lurkers: Plastic bags take hundreds of years to decompose, clogging landfills and polluting the environment. Oceanic Ordeal: Plastic bags often end up in our oceans, harming marine life through entanglement and ingestion. Let's work together to reduce plastic waste and create a healthier planet! #SayNoToPlasticBags #ClimateAction #SustainableLiving #EcoFriendly #ProtectOurOceans

There are places where humans do not live, yet there is plastic. Imagine you are going for trekking with your friends You’re excited to experience nature and capture some memorable moments. But, halfway through the mountain, you discover plastic bottles thrown everywhere. Feels terrible right? That’s exactly how I feel when I hear facts about the effects of plastic bottles. We’re using single-use plastic bottles so much that we’re destroying all parts of nature. Whether it’s ❌Mountains ❌Oceans ❌Forests ❌or Air Plastic waste is polluting the whole of the environment. And it’s high time we realise the consequences of this and spread awareness among common people. Plus, adopt eco-friendly alternatives to safeguard our nature for future generations. P.S. Save nature, share this post. #Recycling #RecyclingAustralia #Victoria #GlobalWarming #PlasticBottle #CircularEconomy
