WILDLIFE AND NETS.....OH MY! This past weekend, we had TWO gopher snakes that were entangled in garden netting at the same address! We removed both snakes from the netting, and luckily one had no injuries and was able to be released that same day! One snake had no injuries and was released right away. The second snake has two lacerations from the netting cutting into its body, with slight muscle exposure. The snake is recovering well and will be released back in the wild soon. For those using netting for yards and gardens, it is recommended that netting is placed at least 18 inches off the ground to allow for small animals to pass through.
