Director of Advisory Services at Anchor Technologies, Inc.

28 years ago today that I joined an Internet start-up. DIGEX, AKA “the best damned backbone on the Internet.” I started in sales and very quickly went to the technical side, where I eventually found myself following the path to firewalls and security. If you’d told me back then that this would be the beginning of an amazing career path and an even more amazing set of adventures, I don’t think I could have believed you!

Oh that was a fun & crazy place!

I started there .... 27 years ago ? It was my second or third real job after the Army, and what an amazing place to learn *EVERYTHING*. This was the wild days of the internet, so when I started there we had root to everything except the cores. Switches, firewalls, servers, databases, coding, building, supporting just 24/7 hands on tech... and unfortunately many times it really was "sleep under your desk" 24/78 but laid a fundamental deep technical understanding that even now still benefits my career. Those were days.

It's around 26 years for me. ★Lynzee Buck★ and I learned so much there and had such a blast. What an amazing introduction to the tech world and a genius group of people. I'd just graduated with a degree in Elem. Ed. so I think got hired based on a good referral and also being able to read email in Pine lol.

I help customers solve complex information security challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling, cooking, and playing guitar.

DIGEX was where it all started for me. Still can’t believe that my qualification was that I knew how to read email in pine and had a working knowledge of Macintosh System 7.
