We are having so much fun with this exhibition and all the examples that are coming in from the public. What are your thoughts on signs in public spaces? Could they be more friendly, helpful or do we just need less of them? #languageofsigns #publicrealm #sharedspaces #instructions #directions

Community Manager at Culture Cooperative TIcAS | Passionate about enhancing cultural and educational services for nurturing open-minded, inclusive and diverse societies
As many of you are aware, the art world is facing increasing challenges, especially with upcoming budget cuts. This already highly competitive field has become even tougher for professionals who dedicate their lives to an art career. Unlike many other industries, the art ecosystem is fragile and often lacks the systemic support it needs to thrive. Recognizing these circumstances, Art of Small was born out of a desire to support the sustainable growth of professionals and the art and culture ecosystem in Finland. Our mission is to create an inclusive, supportive platform for artists—where seasoned professionals and young talents can exhibit their work side by side, fostering a true sense of community in a landscape that is often plagued by gatekeeping. In this test run for 2024, we’ve structured the open call to reflect our core values. Affordability is key, not just for artists but for art lovers as well. Every piece in the exhibition will be small-sized and priced at €250 or less, making it possible for more people to start or grow their own art collections without breaking the bank. I encourage all art enthusiasts—whether seasoned collectors or those new to the art world—to support this endeavour. Your contributions will help us build a thriving art community here in Finland, one that encourages growth, collaboration, and sustainability for artists at all stages of their careers. To my fellow artist colleagues, we see you. This is a space built for you, and I hope many of you will participate in what we hope will be the start of something transformative. Let's build a community that values creativity, inclusivity, and supporting one another. #artmarket #tampereinterculturalart #ticas #theartofsmall #näyttelyhaku #exhibitionopencall #tampere

#WikiWeex When designing an exhibition, choosing colors is really important. Each color is carefully selected to make visitors' experience special and interesting. This process contributes to shaping the exhibition's atmosphere and eliciting specific emotions from visitors during their visit. Curators carefully choose colors that align with the exhibition's theme and message. Exhibitions use colors to make visitors feel more engaged, and colors can significantly impact how visitors experience the entire exhibition. Opening Friday 23 August 17:00 Galeri Image in Aarhus, Denmark, curated by Arko Datto! Galleri Image presents the group exhibition Manifold – contemporary perspectives from India, curated by Arko Datto. The exhibition opens on 23 August from 4-6 pm. The curator will be present. The artists behind the exhibition are Rohit Saha, Sukanya Ghosh, Abhishek Khedekar, Gayatri Ganju, Parashar Naik, the artist group B.O.L.C. (Bengalis of Late Capitalism), OFFSET Projects, Suneil Sanzgri, and Anupam Roy. In the English language, the word manifold implies multitude, plethora, variety. In mathematical physics, “manifolds” allow for complicated structures to be expressed and understood in terms of geometric spaces, like those depicted on an atlas, that are relatively better understood. Drawing from these multiple readings of the word ‘manifold’, we present this current exhibition of Indian contemporary art. India is a country comprising multiple ethnicities, innumerable languages and comes with a mind-boggling array of associated complexities. Pluralism has long served as an essential cornerstone in this land: in all its conceivable forms, be it religious, political, cultural or philosophical. Of late, there have been significant concerted efforts in this country to collapse its manifold diversities and reduce it to a monolithic map based on majority, language, and religion, while simultaneously opening the land and its people up to the manifold violences of the neoliberal world order, which constantly seeks out newer territories, markets and victims. Arko Datto’s curation intends to resist this and build solidarities in its own way. https://lnkd.in/da52ZgtT

Strategic Leader in Public Affairs, Cross-Cultural Advocacy & Health Policy | Empowering Diverse Teams | Driving Transformative Change in European Policy | Business Acumen | Leader in Sustainability
🌟 Thrilled to Share My Experience from The Good Lobby Summer Academy! 🌟 Just back from three transformative days in Bilbao, I am excited to reflect on my participation at The Good Lobby Summer Academy. This event brought together thought leaders in public affairs, sparking intense discussions and valuable insights into the efficacy and ethics of business associations in the public sphere. 🔍 Key Insights: - We delved deep into the concept of the 'political footprint' of companies and associations, a timely topic given the current global trends in polarization and legislative challenges. - One significant takeaway was the impact of associations on the democratic legislative process. There’s a fine line between influence and interference, and it was enlightening to examine this in the context of public affairs. - We also tackled the common misperceptions about the influence of trade associations. Often seen as powerful entities, the reality is that many struggle with resource limitations and the challenge of consolidating diverse member interests into a unified voice. 📈 My Contribution: I was fortunate to contribute my insights on how business associations can navigate public affairs with efficacy and ethical integrity. Discussing these topics with peers was enriching and highlighted the crucial role of transparency and the recognition of trade associations as legitimate stakeholders in public discourse. 🤝 Looking Forward: The discussions left me with mixed feelings about the polarization in public affairs—both challenged by the complexities and inspired by the potential for positive change. Such platforms must exist to amplify diverse voices in public affairs, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive understanding. Thank you to The Good Lobby for a fantastic opportunity to grow, share, and connect. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to drive meaningful change in the world of public affairs! #PublicAffairs #TheGoodLobby #SummerAcademy #EthicsInBusiness #PoliticalFootprint #Bilbao2024 #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking
